I'm having a bit of trouble working out where my new spigot bearing goes. As iv converted my auto to a manual I didn't have to take one out so I'm at a bit of a loss. Can I put it on the end of the input shaft and slide the whole thing on or does it need to go into the flywheel before i put the clutch plate and pressure plate on? Pics would help if anyone has any.

My confusion comes from when I was putting it in the flywheel it didn't seem to want to fit, it either was loose (didn't fit smugly) or poked in at an angle if i pushed it in further.

Cheers.

did you put on a manual flywheel?

I'm almost certain the auto and manual flywheels are different on the K motors.

though this wont change where the spigot bearing goes....

the spigot bearing sits in the center of the crank as stated, and locates the input shaft into the crank.

(yes i edited my post, because i wasnt thinking straight!)

Pull the flywheel off then have a go.

Dave - an auto "fly-wheel" is commonly referred to as a flex-plate. And yes they've vastly different to a flywheel.... probably a 1/4 the weight for a start.
