Was playing around with Google Earth, which I just downloaded tonight. After looking at my old house, as well as my new one, I decided to check out Hidden Valley racetrack. In the end I decided you all need to see what it looks like, and just for fun, I have included each point where I have spun out and how many times I've spun out at that point.

Morgan Park is at Warwick

Is that straight like...1km long? Hidden Valley looks like a great place to race...except for the heat I guess. But Qld raceways bad like that too.

Yeah, the straight is 1.1km long. The entire circuit is only 2.87km, so the straight is a fair old whack of that. The quickest lap ever by a car was done in a Formula Ford and was around 1min05sec. V8 Supercars have something like a 1min12sec best time. There was a 4A-GE powered Clubman that used to come down and get regular 1min25's, and an SW20 MR2 (N/A) that got down to 1min28's. The best going around currently is a Lotus Exige which gets 1min32's I think. I would have thought it would beat the MR2, but I know the MR2 driver had done a fair bit of stuff to improve performance. My mate's LC Torana (effectively better than an LJ XU1 in it's current spec) does 1min36's, and the best I've ever got was 1min41 in the Starlet. Lola hasn't yet got a proper timed lap as I discovered that I wasn't included in the timing last time I went racing :D.
