I have a Ke70 box

Putting it in a ke55.

I think gearstick change (further back) will sit directly on top of handbrake... Very awkward.

Do I re-mount handbrake somewhere else? or ... will it just sit infront of it?

It does have a hevy duty clutch I bought with it though ;) so its going in the car!

The box's have different shifter locations, swap the back end off your ke55 box onto the ke70 one and it'll be the right length for your ke55

Just went down and measured it, the gearstick will fit fine how it is, just some cutting and it should be good. Don't want to have to hunt for a gearbox gasket!!

As phil-keto said it will need a little chop not much, i run a ke70 5 speed in my ke30 and i like where the shifter sits little further back and it does not foul up on the hand break what so ever

When I put the 5 speed KE70 box in my 55 it was fine (needed to cut the hole, but it didn't interfere with the handbrake.

Just remember that you need to chage/look at the clutch if you are going to use the box that came with the 5k

Yeah, realised when we put everything on that the clutch has a bit of slack and then the heavy duty kicks in... Its not too bad though, so I'll stick with it for now. All I have to do is a fluids change and the 5k will be up and running!!!!
