Macca k Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 i was having an arguement with my mate today about the power that 5k's put out... was wondering about peoples experiences with 5k's, whether it is in stock form or cam, twin carbs etc. he was basically arguing that he could drop a 5k with performances modifications to it, into my ke55 coupe and it would be a "hectic" slider lol Quote
Evan G Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 it wont be a hectic i hanot believe it slider. it'll keep up with traffic and go better then a 4k. Quote
GJM85 Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 it wont be a hectic i hanot believe it slider. it'll keep up with traffic and go better then a 4k. It's hard work to get 100hp out of a 5k without forced induction. Wet roads and bald tyres are your best friend. Quote
philbey Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 yyou can get 100hp with big cam, high comp and cams. But it definitely will not be a hectic slider. Your ke55 is probably 20% heavier than my ke10 and with ~100 HP my car is quick and punchy fun. But that's about it... Quote
Macca k Posted June 22, 2011 Author Report Posted June 22, 2011 yeah, it was my arguement :) cheers guys Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Aww... I was hoping for fully sik slider action with my new 5K and the old 2 speed Toyoglide  Quote
Jono.C Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 I'll be sliding my '10 on a 5k? Depends how the cars setup.. Suspension is more important than power in drifting. You could have 300rwkw, But if it doesn't go where you want then there's no point Quote
