Hey all just about got everything to piece together my turbo 4k for my shitta KE10, will be having 3 weeks off from friday and plan to get stuck into it. Parts i have collected :-

 

- good low k 4k

- ke20 4 speed

- 32/36 webber adapter welded to 4k inlet manifold

- ea Falcon Throttle body with injectors

- r32 gtr skyline roller bearing turbo

- Wolf 3D v3 ecu

- All flange plates are being laser cut this week and 2.5" mandrel exhaust organised (gotta love barter system)

- Small Hybrid bling intercooler

- Alloy fab mate stocked up with favours ready to make throttle body hat and alloy ic pipes

 

Stuff i still need to source

 

- Electronic dizzy to suit, are these standard on 5ks? anyone got the factory dizzy from a 7k? not sure which i will be able to lock up and use to trigger the ecu as yet.

I think most 5K's (if not all) had elec dizzy. I know mine did in the van I pulled it out of.

 

I bought an elec dizzy once, and the only place I could get one charged me $150

I think you can get them ALOT cheaper than that...Wait til Xany replies..He is knowledgable in all things 5K.

Not all 5Ks have electric dizzys....the one i bought ages ago didnt have one, and the one thats sitting in the back of my shed doesnt have one.....however that doesnt mean to say that they didnt have one as some stage. i'm pretty sure there is a listing for a points dizzy on a 5k, don't hold me to that though.

 

i've bought a few electric dizzys, i've never paid over $120 for one.

 

I have heard that you can convert a points dizzy to Electronic without much hassle....however i havent done it and i'm not sure how to go about it.....might be worth looking into.

Alot of the vans came with 4K's though....which wouldn't have elec....

 

That KE70 may have been some wise person's special order

I know we are talking about 5K's. I am saying some 5K vans may have not had elec....as some vans had 4K's, and they didn't have elec.

 

My cousin owned a Lite-Ace with a factory 4K in it.

I presume you could have ordered a corolla with the van engine at the time....You could do that sort of thing with other cars.

 

So factory 5K Corolla could be possible...I have never seen one though
