parrot Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 Do NOT buy the Thai boot rubber. It is absolute unusable rubbish. The external shape is sort of right, but it has none of the complex moulding of the genuine seal. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/50942-rubber-kit-advice-for-ke20/page__p__521021__hl__seals__fromsearch__1#entry521021 I would have a look at any aftermarket seal before you buy it. In preference, I would look at using a well made universal seal, or think seriously about getting something brand new off a current model that looks reasonably similiar that you could cut down. Boot seals can't vary that much over 40 years Quote
philbey Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I bought Wagon tailgate seal for my KE16 from these guys http://www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au/TOYOTA%20COROLLA%201966-70%20KE10-11-15-16-17-18.htm It was good, installed with some contact adhesive and care, it worked great. Quote

Jordain Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Spectrum Rubbers - Dunheaved in Sydney can get them. I use it on my KE10 and I'm very happy with it. They are great quality and they seal perfectly... although expensive. I think it was about $45 for a boot rubber from memory Quote
sprinterfiend Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I used windscreen sealant as an adhesive and raided the peg basket to hold my new boot seal in place overnight while it set. Does the job. Easy Cleanup. Quote
