alex.wilson
Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my diff in my ke30, but am looking to do it without barely any modifications. Are there any bolt in upgrades? cheeers
BUZ440
Can I ask the reason you are looking to upgrade your diff, Pending on your reasons, be able to suggest approriate diff options Otherwise you could respline and shorten axels from another car with a thicker guage with the same stud pattern

Grand Master of Awesome
Borgy will be able to handle a worked 5k if it's N/A if turbo it's a different story.

MrInKryption
It's means Borg Warner. It's probably the diff you have in your car now.
coln72
Driven sensibly, the KE30 diff will handle a worked 5K. It took a 6000rpm clutch dump on dry bitumen to pop mine behind a twin carbed, high comp 5k. If you abuse it, nothing will last long. Mate managed to kill a 9" in his Falcon for example. towe001
It's means Borg Warner. It's probably the diff you have in your car now. If the car in question is the one in the avatar it'll be the jap diff. A close direct bolt in would be the borg warner from the ke55 (and later model ke30's). You'll have to swap the driveshaft over or at the least the flange that bolts the driveshaft to the diff, their different sizes. And depending on who you ask about the borg warner, it'll either be an upgrade or a downgrade. the next easiest to fit with a minimum of mods would the T-series diff from a ta22/ra23 celica, t-18.
