gtnickk Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Like super jamie said you can use 4AGE oil covers that are trick TRD ones. You can pick these up of Ebay for about $10 or so delivered to youre door i think it is a good investment and makes youre engine look just a bit Tuffer. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Only once he gets a 4K rocker cover. Quote
gtnickk Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Yep true , should make youre engine good and look tuff. I guess it is up to Brad to get one of yours or some well else's. The best thing is though no more oil spilling out, when it happens. Quote
Guest Brad Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 you probably overheated it and blew a piston...(now you can't get the oily taste out of your mouth) I didn't do anything of the kind. And wtf? Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 joke...... usually you only have THAT much blowby after bloweing a piston..... how is your pcv valve? Quote
gtnickk Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 (edited) Brad yeah sorry if that didnt make sense it was just a joke like mikey said you only blow that much oil and shit out if a piston is damaged. :S Edited December 25, 2005 by gtnickk Quote
Fayt Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 are you talking about the oil filler cap that goes on top of the k motor, if you are, how did you not know it had one, they are right on top of the motor... :S Am i mistaken?.... Quote
kangaroosa Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 (edited) Huh? ^^^ We have already stated that he did have one. Excessive blow by has since popped it off, and is probably laying in a gutter somewhere. Now he needs a replacement one. The only way that he would have noticed it was missing, was if he popped the bonnet (which he has done). I'm just failing to see your point. Thats all. Edited December 25, 2005 by kangaroosa Quote
Guest Brad Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Yeah just to clear a few things up, I don't think no pcv valve is gone, it blows alot of blue smoke if that relates to anything, it needs new guides or something won't know until I pull it apart. Also I didn't realise it didn't have a cap when I popped the hood checking for oil levels/water etc. Thanks for replies, Brad Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 amuse me and do a compression test on each cylinder Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 i'll bet it either has a big 'ol chip missing from out of one (or more) piston(s) or a hole in the middle of one (or more) daisy has NO valve stem seals at all; i left them out on purpose. she uses NO oil, does not smoke at cruising speed or just putting around but if you let her idle, she'll smoke like a bitch when you pull away. and you get a puff when you start her after letting her sit 10 mins or so Quote
Guest Brad Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Jamie when I bought the car August 2003, The guy said he did a compression test and said he was surprised with what he got, he said it had good compression. Now can it change that much in 2 years? Yes? No? Brad Quote
kangaroosa Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Now can it change that much in 2 years? Yes? No? Brad Yes. It all depends on how harder time you give it. E.g. Thrashing it. Not servicing it. If its running lean or not. Quote
Guest Brad Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 Well I did a compression test, but i'm upstairs and too lazy to go in the garage and get it I will get it later. Brad Quote
Guest Brad Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 Well here are the readings, not sure what the fire ordering is 1.3.4.2? But here they are starting from the back cylinder working my way towards the front of the car. Number 1 had 140 PSI Number 2 had 150 PSI Number 3 had 130 PSI Number 4 had 150 PSI And they are supposed to be 170 PSI if I remember correctly out of the gregorys book. I will tell you how much oil it uses in a week on Wednesday. Cheers Brad Quote
