ancullen Posted September 1, 2006 Author Report Share Posted September 1, 2006 Yeah, those button clutches are horrid - and extremely expensive. The MR2 will have traction out of the handbrake turns, so it has advantages. The hard bit is getting the backside to swing out the way you want it to. If you've got any school work to catch up on, you can do it in the holidays, and then the weekend after the holidays, you can come on the motorkhana. Don't worry about the locked diff. ancullen Posted September 7, 2006 Author Report Share Posted September 7, 2006 With most of the weight over the rear wheels, I'd say dial up about 5,000-5,500rpm and drop the clutch. You'll be around you torque peak which will give max acceleration, and if you get too much wheelspin, just try again with less rpm next time.
