ok i got the car today!!

its a ke38 wagon n the 4kc runs a treat, but i need new battery leads coz the ones on it are rooted and held together with duck tape haha.

anyway she runs great, smooth as anything took it out for a drive up the road n everythings fine alothough i stalled n it wouldnt start back up due to the faulty battery leads! so which then lead to my girlfriend in the driver seat while i was behind pushing

:( haha but it was a good exercise!.

the only reason I'm not gonna do this car up is the fact the rust is REALLY bad!! (massive rust hole through out.

but the plan is to basicly take everything out of the 38 and put it in the 55, its got all dash peices, all seats, original wheels with the center caps, front doors which i needed and most of all it has a funckin front end a guards woohooo no need to be lookin for them no more!!

 

and yeh woz I'm pretty sure you can have somethin for rust repair ill drop off this weekend, :)

oh woz do you have an engine crane i can borrow in the future when i start to pull out the engine?

 

also i need some help knowing what battery leads to get and there actuall name haha (the leads that connect to the battery itself)

yeah i have an engine crane just give me the heads up when you need it its at my brothers place so ill have to go get it

so he the story goes for the wagon:

the guy i bought it off was workin near some other guys house ( who owned this previously) the guy i bought it off said how much you want for it the guy said to him he taught his kids to drive manual in it and its been sittin in the paddock for over 6months so he wasnt sure if it started so he bought it for $600.

so they took it home put fuel down the carby n started, he was sayin to me that hes done nothin to the engine to this day and it still runs as good as it did when he 1st ran it, :) story ended! haha

 

So the way i have to start it at the moment is jumper cables, but once it was running it would be fine and then id turn it off n wouldnt start again, so i was sorta thinkin its either the batterys dead or the alternators F**ked, (hopeing it wasnt the alternator) coz i wouldnt have a clue where i could get one!!

any way tonight i put mums battery in the wagon n it started 1st shot, was soooo happy!! :)

so now i needa battery and new battery cables/terminals.

woz and josh also came over last night coz the battery cables/wireing whatever its called have been hacked at abit, so woz did abit of an electrical tape job, yet it worked out pretty good! thanks mate,

we also have to sort a weekend out to swap the motor into the 55 (woz and josh are also giving me a hand with this) plus all the wireing, gonna be a massive job! but thanks woz and josh for all your help plus all the other rollaclub members for all your help :)

update!

yesturday i started stripping down the 38 wagon, well all i got done was the front n back bumpers haha.

i bought a set of 4, 13 inch cheviot wheels with 75% tread for $100, bargain id say!! haha so picking them up next week hopefully :)

theres a little rust hole on the left front quarter panel which ill be fixing this weekend along with most of the other surface rust (not so bad)

ok so me n mate made a exhaust last night for shits n giggles, but I'm sorta starting to like it haha :D

its a bosozoku style i think?

and it actually sounds pretty sick haha,

oh yeh it has abit of whipper snipper line holding it on!! now thats style!! hahaha

and today i also took off the front quarters, beaver panel and grille, so hopefully i can give woz n josh a call n we can figure out a weekend to pull it out n transfer it!!

update,

at the moment all ive really been doin is transfering bits over from the 38 to the 55, and the left front quarter had some little rust holes so just been fixing that.

as i was taking the front left quarter off the wagon to transfer to the 55 i bent the front of the quarter near where the headlight fit around so ive fixed that the best i could but i may need to find another, but I'm just gonna leave it for now :)

i wanna get the engine and everything out and get the transfer on the way!! keen as mustard!!

so ive gotta give woz and josh a call n see when we can get a start with the whole deal :)

ok so recently ive swapped the ke38 steering box to the 55 for somethin to do lol so i have a spare ke30-55 steering box for sale 30 buks if anyone wants it

I'm also lookin for a cheap air compressor if anyone knows of one for sale?

and searching around for an engine crane.

 

ive basiclt just been sanding back the back quarter and filling it to get an even quarter, and fixed a few rust spots.

yesturday i bought a set of wheels off a guy, there old skool ATS german wheels 14x5.5, scored them for a clean $50!!

wasnt sure how they'd look on the car but there actually look pretty sweet!

 

tomorow ill be painting the engine bay black and thats progress so far..
