T18 Brakes On Ke70 Struts

Hey guys. Thought i'd chuck this up.

 

I got a thought yesterday when sorting my coilover gear to see if t18 brakes would fit ke70 struts, and they do!

 

They're a decent size bigger, and slotted/ vented rotors available.

 

I got it to work with a t18 rear bearing and ke70 front bearing. Presumably you could use a ke70 rear as well though.

 

The only thing is you'd have to re-drill the 4 holes in the caliper bracket as they're a bigger spacing.

 

But either way it doesn't seem all that hard at all, And pretty cheap.

 

 

Also, This would work on ke10, 20, 30 and 55 as well.

 

Not sure if this is any help to anyone but could work out a slight upgrade for much cash.

Sounds good but just note ke10,20,30/55 and 70 have different strut flange bolt sizing and patterns.

^ That is true, Ke70 bolt patterns, But i thought as you had to re-drill the t18 one it wouldn't make that much of a difference

T18 do not have vented rotors available (unless ae86 vented rotors fit with thinner brake pads like when using ADM ae86 calipers) and are around the same size as ADM AE86 brakes.

Will probably be ae86 rotors never heard of vented T18 rotors. Mine and any other of the maybe 10 T18s I know of don't have vented rotors.

I'm curious to know this part number. My TE72 struts aren't vented and I haven't found a vented option so far.

I think it may be the ones on ebay that show the picture of a vented rotor but in the listing says it is a solid rotor.
