I pulled my smog friendly weber, and swapped with my other one to see if it would get rid of that pesky hesitation right off of idle. The car now runs great. The power is a little lacking compared to the other. I think that is because the other one was leaned out, and this one is running pretty rich. Ill have to get out there and give it a tune. Please excuse my temporary tape oil cap.

I put in my rear shocks in. What a difference it makes. With my home built coilovers, replaced needed bushings, and new shocks and struts, this car drives like its brand new. I can steer down the freeway with one finger. :D

I also sprayed some etching primer on my rear panel so it wont rust due to the moisture. Ill work more on this at some point.

And a pic of the car just because.

I am ready to swap over some suspension components, but the seller of my camber plates sent me the wrong ones. I bought the triangle shaped ones and they sent the circle. The red springs are what I have in the car now. They are 320lbs at 7.5" tall. The new black ones are 10" at 300lbs, so it will make my ride a little smoother. the current rate is fine for the street for track feeling car, but i prefer a little softer and a taller spring. I also got thrust bearings to get rid of the popping noise that I get when cranking the wheel in parking lots.

Camber tops came in today. I can probably use either the round or triangle on my car. Looking at the comparison, The round will give me a lot more adjustability than the the triangles. The triangles will give me more metal around the bolts though. I am going to see how each of them fit. How much camber adjustability do you actually need? I'm looking at getting 2" lower and, and I want to keep my camber in check as to not unnecessarily wear out tires.

Ya, it's the better usdm hooker model. The struts are bigger because I have the beast of a 2t engine. I got the Weber from eBay (for 2t).the paint is that orangish red. I love the paint, but I found that the hood, front fenders, cowl were repainted in the wrong color. Now that I buffed it, it's really noticeable now. Lowering blocks are huge ones that will be pain in the a$$ to install.they are the size to use on a full size chevy truck. I can post more pics when I finish buffing.

i have the 2tc too previous owner swapped it in its a 4 speed tho. it originally had a 3k in it. thanks for the info on the lowering blocks :D

no prob.Today I traded the 3" blocks for more manageable 2" blocks.

I cleaned up the welds on my rear panel. A welder with gas makes a big difference. I also swapped my 3rd member to my freeway flyer one. I took it for a quick drive and it seems much better. Ill try it out on the freeway tomorrow. There is quite a bit of work involved in a simple swap of gear ratios. Definitely not like a motorcycle.

I picked up some mesh wheels for $100. They are Elipsons 14x6. The offset makes the lip the same as my MA61 supra wheels. I'll probably refinish these.

I also welded up my 4:10 ratio diff. I figured, since it's only a 2 pinion, i might as well lock it up.

What's up guys. Sadly I have sold this car about a month ago and now I miss it. I loved how light these cars are and how well they handled when equipped with some DIY coilovers. I'm still around to read stuff, and have my TE27. Although it is on the back burner for now, It will be getting some much deserved attention.
