glenpos Posted June 27, 2012 Author Report Posted June 27, 2012 G'day, i had a bit of a play today, i removed the towbar yesterday, and got all the rear tar off today, it weighs 6.3kg :o i also pulled a fair bit of the dash out to save some weight, and fitted the gear stick boot, and put some stickers on it, also got it sitting nice, and painted the rear spoiler :thumbsup: and mounted the camera :D did a few other bits but i can't think haha i think its looking pretty good, iv'e got a race on july 8th which is 1.5 weeks away, its at winton hopefully it will go good :rolla: Quote

orangeLJ Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 I'd be pulling or at the very least, disabling the airbag system too. Is there a limit to what you can pull out? Aircon would be the first to go for me, all the lines, switches, condensor, evap unit etc etc. lots of weight there! Quote

Aircon would be the first to go for me, all the lines, switches, condensor, evap unit etc etc. lots of weight there! yeah iv'e disconnected the airbags, just gotta get a steering boss, and i'll be pulling the aircon etc out eventually but for now i might leave it in, not actually sure if i'm allowed to take the heater out, all it says in the regulations is that you can put a window demister on the front window, but i might leave it in anyway coz its so bloody cold haha Quote
