glenpos
G'day, sorry that i haven't put more vids up yet, haven't had time haha, i mounted a race seat that i got for $50 off a mate today, iv'e just sold a few things on ebay, bought a pipe bender and i'm gonna get some pipe in the next few weeks, then i'm building a roll cage, it will cost me about $800 all up to build, i'm also gonna try to get some semi slick, the ones that i need for saloon cars are bridgestone potenza re11s type rh, they are $450 each, but coz its for a saloon car i get them for $350 each, i've done a head gasket for my step dads ute and i have to paint it, so he is gonna put some money in for the tyres, should make it easier money wise, also put some more stickers on it for my mums business :P i'll upload the vids over the next week :D

orangeLJ
Just to clarify, you bought a hand tube bender?
glenpos
same sorta thing as this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-12-TON-HYDRAULIC-PIPE-BENDER-PORTABLE-BENDING-/261035443838?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3cc6ecc67e , but a 16 ton one, they work fine if you cap the pipe the fill it with water then sand
iwontarolla
I wouldn't really use one of them for bending a roll cage. With what i've seen of those types of benders is just unsafe for a roll cage.
glenpos
yeah if you use one without doing anything they are pretty crap, here is a good vid of how to do it and how it looks after, its just a cheap crap one the same as mine , it should do the job perfecly
glenpos
G'day, i've got most of the cage done, had to make a tube bender, cost $100 to make, worked awesome, the other bender just kinked the pipe haha, all i have left to do is weld the backstays and harness bar in, and 2 small corner braces, a few more bits left to do then i will have to get some paint, cost me about $1000, brown davis charges about $4000 to build a cage, what do you all think? :D
