Bowler Posted July 28, 2012 Report Posted July 28, 2012 Hi guys, Have had a bit of a look around the forums, and was wondering how is the best way to "tighten" the factory steering in my ke36. The manual refers to a spring loaded method, but I was wondering if there was an easier/more modern way to go about it. Let me know your methods! Cheers Quote
coln72 Posted July 28, 2012 Report Posted July 28, 2012 Back off the lock nut on the top of the box. Use screwdriver to tighten adjusting screw. Tighten lock nut. Or Remove top cover, fill with grease, refit cover............. :) 1 Quote
Bowler Posted July 28, 2012 Author Report Posted July 28, 2012 Thanks for that! any sort of feel to the screw? should i tighten until it feels tight, or do i use a quarter turn at a time? Quote
coln72 Posted July 28, 2012 Report Posted July 28, 2012 I'd take it slowly and check the feel of the steering as you go. Quote
