KE-70Cruiser Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 I have an 82 KE-70 Rolla with a manual transmission, its a paddock bomb through and through. but the clutch is no longer working in it after a bit of a thrashing it slowly stopped working, the pedals gone really loose and I'm not sure if the clutch is gone or my dad suggested it may be out of fluid when I mentioned it... thoughts on my dilemma would be much appreciated :) Quote
ke70dave Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Ke70 is cable clutch! So I'd check the cable to make sure its not snapped. Quote
7shades Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Find a hill and try to drive up it in reverse. If it shudders, clutch is gone. But If the pedal is loose I'd also say cable. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Yeah I had a cable slowly go as it slowly snapped the individual wires that made it up. Quote
KE-70Cruiser Posted November 18, 2012 Author Report Posted November 18, 2012 Well I thought the cable looked alright but I don't know too much about them so I'll check it in the morning, although B.L.Z BUB, that sounds pretty well like what happened, it was right, then it grinded a bit, then 2 minutes later there was no response. Thanks everyone for your input, still drivable though, that synchromesh is a godsend :) Quote
