:::::UPDATE:::::

went to bleed the clutch the other day because it was completly dry of fluids.

bloody nut for bleeding was round as a washer.

you steal it and i picked up a slave. on closer inspection was full of rust inside. pinched the bleed nut or watever its called all good now. looks like it may not need a new clutch after all.

also went for a sticky beark down to u pull it and lo and behold there is one t-18 there with a good condition bonnet there.

great part is.. same color as my t18.. score

bonnet $30

now i start removing rust, converting bogging sandin and painting.

new bonnet makes it look alot better

hmm, kinda pixelated....

but what i am going to say is something that i regret not doing after my 9 month rebuild.

i did all the bog work, got that nice and smooth. then went and got rid of all the little imperfections with spray putty.

however i used a small sanding block, or even my hand in a lot of places.

what i should have done: spray putty it, then contrast colour and sandback with a long board with sandpaper. this shows up all the small ridges that you don't notice until you have a beautifully shiny clear coat on top.

sure it will take a good while to do, but its the difference between a great paintjob on an alright body, and awesome paint job on a perfect body.

i really think it is worth it :P
