Teddy Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Ok, get this. 1 of my bro's friend was on about turbos, and it went along the lines of this... *you turbo the intake, why not turbo the exhaust* :fuzz: :D i ***think**** its been done before somwhere... what input / abuse can any 1 throw at this idea lol ! :rolla: Quote
Teddy Posted April 7, 2004 Author Report Posted April 7, 2004 Well, I'm assuming that the other turbo would be situated between the radiator and the engine cylinter (using that diagram) - facing the correct way - its a weild idea, i kno lol Quote
demuire Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 What, so you want to use the intake to push the exhaust out? Erm... No. Everything you put in the way of the intake or exhaust is a restriction, and will decrease your power. Just so happens that the advantages of compressing the air (and cooling it) are higher than the disadvantages of having the turbo and intercooler in the way. That's why cars with bigger turbos are "laggy" ie they have virtually zero power down low - because the turbo's haven't come onto boost yet... Quote
Teddy Posted April 7, 2004 Author Report Posted April 7, 2004 yeah, most likely that (nick) - what eva it is, its a differnt concept :D ! ill try and get in contact with him and see what else he was goin on about ! (bros friend) Quote
