April 8, 201313 yr comment_652540 Just busted off the timing cover of my spare motor to discover a double row chain, woo! Are these stock or has someone been tinkering with engine? Edited April 8, 201313 yr by luk3333 Report
April 8, 201313 yr comment_652543 Not sure on a 3k but yes 4k are double row std. 5k's have a single row. Report

April 8, 201313 yr Author comment_652568 Maybe they were stock with a double and when the chain was replaced people put singles on them? Or vice versa? Edited April 8, 201313 yr by luk3333 Report
April 8, 201313 yr comment_652575 All three of the "flat top piston" 4k's I've pulled down have had twin row. Was that 4k you had Gav a 4ku by any chance? You'll probably find its the hydro cam engines that run singles. Its pretty easy to tell if its an aftermarket performance one. They'll have multiple key ways on the crank gear.
