I'm planning to resotre an old toyota corolla SR. but I'm thinking of putting in another engine, specifically the 4age.

 

my question is would it ruin the old school theme or even a chance of winning a carshow?

 

my purpose for the restoration is for the carshow. but i would want more power in the 3k engine.

Make the 4age engine+bay real pretty and you'll probably have more chance of winning.

Put a 2T-G in it if you want to keep it old school.

4AGE is easier to source and locate parts for, especially as I'm guessing you are in the US? Originality doesn't tend to factor in show judging with these cars.

 

Build what you prefer and enjpy it.
