Was looking into turbo's for both the Mr2 and the KE70 and found these

These sound like the typical chinese ripoff brand. I wouldnt beleive everything the say (quaily german parts ffs!). If i were u id just chuck a used t25/28 on them (we talking the 2 or the KE70?). And for ~$200, you could get a couple, that way if one shits it self, you all good :wink:

but a new turbo is always gonna be alot better than a second hand one simply because of how fast a turbo spins it undergoes alot of wear

don't know about that particular brand tho

HPI Magazine actually used one of these on their r32 4 door (rb24) and it made about 235kw at the wheels, using the kkr-480. they said the response is great for this size turbo, but said the 430 would be better suited to that particular engine. they havent seemed to have any problems

These are terrible cheap chinese copys! ALWAYS BUY GENUINE TURBOS!!!!

 

There are some even worse copys going around that wont even survive the first time you drive them around the block. The compressor and turbine wheels even LOOK unbalanced!

 

 

As a general rule, if your not spending over $1500 for a brand new turbo theres something wrong (there are exceptions i.e. GT28R and GT28RS are around $1200 at the moment) Theyre not cheap items and never buy cheap turbos!

Was thinking possibly both. Was more worried about longitivity (sp??) of the turbo more so then response etc.

Longitivity? Most people wont even bother to rebuild a trubo these days as the cost of a brand new one is cheap as.

 

Ive heard good things about TD04's and 4AGE/ZE which can be found off the them sooby motors. Yes I'm probably biased but thats where i'll be heading in the distant future..
