907PSI Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Guys what do you do when you need to replace them? Can't find them anywhere!!! Quote
ATOYOTA Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 What do you mean by that? Like bump stops? Quote
GJM85 Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Rubber in the spring seats. Just take the rubber out. As long as the spring is trapped properly you won't notice a difference. Quote
907PSI Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 Yeah the top of the spring there's a hat thats bolted by the shocky and has a rubber insulator and its falling apart probably cause it neatly 40years old lol. Ill get a pic. But prolly gonna have to use a coil wrap just so it's not metal on metal Quote
ke70dave Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 You can probably steal some off a newer car. It's just gotta be around the same diameter. Run around the wreckers with a tape measure on some springs?  There are some on ebay, but from the searches i have done i can't find any to suit corolla  http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=Coil+Spring+Insulator&LH_PrefLoc=1 1 Quote
907PSI Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 Yeah ke70dave I've been looking for ages!!! Quote
907PSI Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 Here is a pic you can see the spring seat/ rubber insulator at the top if strut. Quote
907PSI Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 It looks like a rubber boot. Quote
styler Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 The top struts mounts are avaliable on ebay, the next down is top hats only factory and the next rubber boot can be any boot that fits if you can't find listed aftermarket replacements. Quote
