Hi guys I'm currently building a ke55 4dr sedan

Just resprayed it a nice orange pearl

 

An now I'm at the stage of installing the auto gearbox back upto it cause the original blew up

 

Problem is everytime i get to a certain point on toghtening it up to the engine it locks so i can't turn it over from the bottom end on the block

 

Can anyone help me with this issue ??

 

Stall convertor is in so it can't be that its not all the way in any other suggestions

Is the gearbox in neutral? I remember puting a Borg Warner 35 into my cortina years ago and it was a bitch to line up too

Torque converter needs to be all the way in (if I interpreted your last sentence right), could be your problem as it is causing things to sandwich,

Need the pegs on the front of the converter to line up...can be rather tricky
