Will The Key Barrel Of An Ae92R Fit In A Ae101R ..?

Hey guys my key barrel in my ae101r has shat it self so i need to replace it. i have an old ae92r in the shed and was wondering if the key barrel are interchangeable. I don't know much about fixing cars but willing to learn. any help would be much appreciated, cheers in advance :D

if u can turn the key to accesories, there should be a small pin hole you can push a piece of wire into in the side of the barrel this should let you get the old barrel out, do the same with the other and have a look. i wouldnt have a clue, but if you have both there give it a try and see how you go

Searching the key barrel part number on Toyodiy for the AE92 says it is specific to the AE9* model.

This sint to say it definitely wont work but I doubt it.

Define 'shat itself'.... You can get the wafers replaced in those barrels for about 30 bucks. Pretty common fault.
