recently installed a weber 32 dir carburetor. now my car doesnt warm up. highest temp it had was 140 farenheit on a 20+ celsius day. did pulled all the vacuum lines but left all the things under the manifold intact.

it runs really rich. I'm using the jets for the secondary barrel of the stock carbs. it wont run with the jets that came with the carb.

So what are you going to do?? It is no good driving it like that.

 

The options really are to put it on a dyno for an hour while you check the mixture under load and try various jets to get it right. If the dyno man has a box of jets that fit you just buy the ones you need.

 

or you could do it yourself but you'll have to buy an oxy sensor and a mixture display, and then keep buying jets until you get the right ones. that's still cheaper than buying jet drills and making small jets larger.

damn tuning is always most expensive.

it wouldnt hurt the engine if it does run really rich would it? i know for sure it would foul spark plugs quicker but any more concern other than that?

When petrol is $1.50 litre, tuning is cheap.

 

You put the carby on to produce more power presumably.

 

If it isn't set up well, the standard setup is probably putting out more power and better driveability than what you have now..
