Its a T50 gearbox with what appears to be a JDM A series bell housing.

got a 5a-fe lying around. Will it bolt straight on it?

I'd assume so if a T50 can bolt to a 7AFE block for a 7AGE conversion. But don't quote me on that.

 

I'm pretty sure the bell housing is for a 4AGE equipped car, the throwout fork opening is on the side not shown, that is the location for cars that came equipped with the 4AGE... because if the opening, and fork were on the other side... they would interfere with the exhaust.

Yes, probably correct for your location. Aussie ae86 and ae71 came with 4ac engines with the exhaust on the other side so the fork is on the opposite side to the pictured gearbox.

got a FWD 5a-fe (jdm-only motor)so when mounted in RWD setup, exhaust mani is on your right(when you look from in front of the car). is that the correct position please? don't want to blow €300 away!! Thanks

Yes thats correct. Even with the exhaust on the fork side (when converted to 4AGE) in Aussie cars we just put a banjo joint on the clutch line for slave clearance.

I'm not a big fan of buying 30 year old boxes that have been stood on the end like that. There now is most likely 30 years of crud inside the input chaft bearing, and it will never be quiet again.
