Will A Ke30 Differential Fit Ke70 Differentail...??(urgent)

G'day,

Its Possible but the KE30 came with the Banjo (japanesse) diff. Whereas the KE70s came with borg warner.

I think the 30's gear ratio is 4.11 and the 70s is either a 4.11 or 3.9.

With all he tinkering you'd have to be doing a simple visit to the wreckers with $40 in your hand for a KE70 diff would be easier.

Cheers

black dash ke30 had a banjo, silver dash had the borg warner

ke30 through 55 had leaf springs, ke70 had trailing arms

no the diffs complete will not interchange, and unless you have all the tools for setting backlash and shimming a borg warner the diff shop price ($400 usualy) makes a center swap a bloody expencive option

$40 for a differential, that's really cheap.

The last I checked a few years back, a KE70

differential costs M$400 (A$150) at one of the

local salvage yards here in Malaysia.

Should have bought it back then, my differential

is making lots of grinding noises, and that salvage

yard doesn't stock it anymore. Neither do most

others here.

So, if I have a Jap housing and diff that I want to use in a KE55(BW), its gunna be a real headf@$k to do?

Thats shit, didn't realise that.

i've picked 2 up in brisbane, 1 for $60 the other $80, not too bad considering that with a hoist and air ratchet you can change a diff over in about 40 minutes :jealous:
