ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Because I am still searching for an ignition coil for my 4A-GZE. I've contacted Microtech to see if the Bosch ones they sell do the job without the need for a retune. I can't go very far with repairing the KE55 without the coil pack, as I want the engine running so I can test the tailshaft. Then I can proceed with the planned improvements. :P Oh, and here's a funny story: according to Bridge Toyota, there is no such thing a water-to-air intercooler and GT-Four's did NOT come standard with them. :P

ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 I wanted to find out if I needed coolant in the intercooler or just straight water. I couldn't just open it up as it was in the process of boiling. :P I need to find a way to keep it cooler I think. I'd hate to think how much power I'm losing through heat soak into the intercooler. The worst part was that it was boiling after a short drive where I wasn't even driving very hard. :P
ae174agze Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 get a front mount none of this water stuff just more shit to go wrong if u ask me ahahah
ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Front mount intercooler = longer intake piping = more lag = crap Top mount intercooler = shorter intake piping = less lag = my Celica overtaking you
wasfishing Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 U RUN TOTOYA RED COOLANT don't BE A STOOGE to quote micheal aka TOOF off toymods
ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Um, okay. What's the issue with Toyota red coolant?
Pure-SX Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 (edited) EDITED TO AVOID UNNECESSARY NASTINESS (EVEN THOUGH I AGREE WITH STATEMENT) - ADAM Um I like Chocolate? :drgrim: Edited January 9, 2008 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 LOL - now you're in trouble for spam. :drgrim: :lolcry: :rolls:
Pure-SX Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 Ohh drats :drgrim: So how is the GT4 anywhos?
ancullen Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Not driving it very much. Can't drive it at the moment as the tyres are well beyond rooted. I need to get new tyres fitted to my rims. Also looking out for another set of rims, as the ones I bought don't fit it. So if you know anyone that wants some eight spoke 17x7.0 5x100 rims, they can buy them (no tyres) for $200. Need to get the GT-Four serviced too. It's done over 150,000km (it hit 150,000 not long after we got it - it's up to 152,000km).
Pure-SX Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 (edited) My old rims ay? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORKS OFF :drgrim: NO AIRCON FTW!!! Edited January 9, 2008 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 You lazy bastard! And yes, they're your old rims. With scratches, presumably from your shitty driving. :drgrim: The scratches aren't too bad though - they'd EASILY be fixed.
Sirolla[RL] Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 i gotta see this GT-FOUR of yours Adam one day. :/
Guest Sbox Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 It is a nice vehicle and was well looked after by the previous owner (Then Adam got hold of it and thrashed the guts out of it and started breaking things. Come on Adam fess up, you are hard on the machinery). On another note, Andrew took that T18 diff off my hands and the ke70 shed is going to be cubed at Sims within the next few days. When I cleaned it out, I had to part with some good bits. It was hard to pick the best ke30/55 washer bottle out of the 9 I had, this sort of thing went on all yesterday arvo (heartbreaking stuff). Have stopped looking for a spray painter, but keep me in mind if anyone hears of one. Not really an ad: Pass the word about Andrews Celica, plenty of good panels, trims and various bits (all at reasonable prices).
