ancullen Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 The in-gear acceleration is pretty groovy though. Stomp the accelerator and sit constantly at maximum power. I managed to get it to chirp it's tyres in the wet. It was weird though. I held the brake and accelerator (both on full), then when the lights went green I released the brake. The CVT took a second to think, then I started moving and the revs went up to the max, then it chirped the tyres. It was a really weird sensation. So weird I had to try it again. :P It would be really interesting to try a hybrid with a CVT, but with a V6. I think the Lexus's use a regular auto, and I think it's the same with the Camry and Highlander (Kluger) hybrids that the US get. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
