Medicine_Man Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 You will probably have to get them modified onto the original rails? Quote
Des Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Posted August 18, 2006 You will probably have to get them modified onto the original rails? the oridinal rails get bolted on to the side of the seat these new seats get bolted on from underneith and if you cut weld or bend the rail engineers report is needed. Exactly my point, If you want them to fit you will have to get them modified on. Being a non-factory Item, I'd assume you would have to get them blue-plated anyway.. Quote

tas_ae71 Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 what about having a look around a wreckers for some that at pretty close? i put a aftermarket seat in my ke70, i used the stock rails. but then i bolted my rails to my seat they no longer lined up with the floor holes. the solution, i got the trusty drill and a big drill bit and majorly slopped the holes out (and put a masive washer there to pread the load). although this is probaly illegal? it worked, without having to get the welder out. Des Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Posted August 18, 2006 i would do that but i want my car to be mostly legal Quote
irokin Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 You will have to engineer seats regardless unfortunatly....yay engineer fun :( Quote
Des Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Posted August 18, 2006 they are good in some ways bad in others. good points:if it engineered you know you've done an ok job bad points:you must get one first!!! Quote
