Does anyone know if the axles have the same splines?

I would like to upgrade my stud pattern on the rear for a wider range of rim choice :)

I doubt it very much. I used KE30 jap axles however theyre a few mm too long. If you put them in as-is, you wont be able to get them out after a few thousand KM. I'm not 100% sure how much needs to be taken off though. If youre OK with a welder you could swap a complete KE30 jap rear end like I did after my axels got stuck. Its probably a CM or so wider each side.

In saying that, if i were to get KE30 jap axles (you have to remove 5mm off each axle so i've been told by someone who has done it and i don't know how hard it is to find) could i use the KE55 drums on the back?

i have a whole ke55 rear assembly in my '20 (i put it in tonight). It is a wider track so i will have to use front wheel drive offset rims on the rear and normal ones on the front (ke55 discs/hubs).

Its not going to be super strong but its a cheap fix. a mate of mine just spent $2k getting a shortened Borgy out of a VR commodore with new LSD centre put into his '20 but then he has a t28 4agze...

Raven, how come the superlites were so expensive???

That was just one price I got and now that I'm not working, the superlites will come later when i secure my next job :y:

Did the leaf spring mounts, hand brake cables, etc etc line up?

But are they compatable between jap and borg? Id stick with a KE30 jap diff. I know from personal experience that its pretty much a straight swap. Welded mounts, think we swapped the brakes over and swapped tailshaft unis (straight swap for the KE30).
