I was always taught to brake, release and brake again.

 

I am yet to put it in action. Just when you are trying to stop all of a sudden thats the last thing on your mind.

Excactly i didnt think to try and brake a bit slower so it didnt lock up but its hard when i happens really quickly. :y:

or, gear down... I stopped a rear ender once not too long ago from that.

 

I can get down prety quickly tho :y:

 

Unfortunately the two cars behind me can't drive so we still got hit.

 

You learn alot from driving different cars. My charade - brakes are dodgy. So if your going over 60 you have to gear down to brake. Alot of roads these days are 70 or 80 with lots of lights so I'm always getting caught out.

I must have a big sign on my head saying hit me i don't have any money. I drove mums car to work today its 1997 v6 camry, And i was making sure that i had a 3 sec gap between me and car in front. The lights went red so i stoped and a 720 ute locked behind me and nearly rear ended mums car, Then the finger sudenly found itself up and flipping him off.

I know how you feel, a while back the car in front of me stopped in the middle of the road to turn... no blinker and no brake lights!
