Ok thanks very much!! Thought it was to do with that in a way! Lucky as I need to put longer on hahaha Thanks that would be great mate!!! See ya Jimi
  3. Hello everybody!!! Have been away for a little but all is not lost ;) I have recently purchased a ke70, there are a few goodies but that can wait :P I'm am looking for some help in regards to the ke70 steering, apparently they get binding or bump steer. noticed this when I put the car on the hoist and one wheel is straight and the other was pulling out a little. My thought is that the tie rod ends arnt long enough?? or is it to do with the struts, lower control arms etc??? Any help will be great thanks!!! See ya Jimi
  4. Pics are here mate ;) See ya JImi
  5. yeah thats the plan, will go to some good known melb wreckers for a look See ya jimi
  6. yeah thats it!! Doesnt help when theres an event on feb 2nd i want to do :/ Might have to borrow dads rolla when thats fixed hahahah Heres a pic of the hole :/ Dad suggested i cut one out of another car to get the right curve and shape etc.... See ya Jimi
  7. So another update... Its time to fix some problems with the car, fuel line needs to be bigger and clean tank. Fix all the wiring loom and make it work and look neat. Sounds simple... Once i started to remove the webbers, found bodys to be damaged and will need to be welded and re-drilled to fix Then got the wiring loom from dash and engine out, found most of the headlight wire to be burnt out :/ So now will re-wire and fix this all! Then got most fuel out of tank, removed tank and found rust hole around filler neck :/ So now will have to fix this and also put bigger pick up line Things look grim atm but hopefully things pick up for me See ya Jimi
  8. So i did a motorkhana on the weekend :) was last one for the geelong championship, was first time with new motor and hydro so was excited to try it out!!! Went great! Did have some driver eras but other then that did great! Had a few people come up to me after some runs saying it was running on 3 cylinders :/ So tried to fix it but still there. After some chat with a few friends and that its got to be the sock filters!! So just measured the distance between webbers face and strut tower and have found a filter box that will fit :D So will order this soon and get it all sorted and hopfully fix all my problems!!! Then get onto all the other jobs i need to do hahahha Also 17th of nov ive been asked to do a special event Ekiden Day - 2013 :) Toyota Motor Corporation is holding their annual family day at the Altona plant this year on Sunday November 17th & has invited TCCAV to bring our cars for a show & shine &run a motorkhana in their front car-park. Last years event was fantastic & our members enjoyed factory tours of the plant on mini-buses, which was a heap of fun. To give you an idea, check out how much fun Luke (oh wait, that's me!) had revving a $660,000 supercar at the event in 2012 by clicking here. This years event activities have been kept well under wraps, so we are expecting something exciting & different from our manufacturer. Details are; Date - Sunday 17th November. Location - Toyota Altona Plant, Grieve Parade, Altona. Time - Meeting from 8.30am. Enter Toyota as a group at 9.00am. For a Google Maps link, please click here . Meeting point - Westgate Indoor Sports. Corner of Grieve Parade & Dohertys Road, Altona. Entry Cost - Free! Just bring some money for lunch. For more info, or if you have any questions, you can contact Frank Ferrantino at: [email protected] . Hope to see a few rc members there!!! Would be great to meet more people :P See ya Jimi Oh and i got 2nd outright at the motorkhana :P Not bad on 3 cylinders ;)
  9. yeah i know :P yeah think so might check but still not normal to happen really hahah oh well race car i guess See ya Jimi
  10. Ok so i got the gasket sorted and fixed before the Winton 6 hour, Did a few other jobs and got some new wheels and tyres. Also added some Speedhunters tow hooks i got to bling her up abit :P So the weekend went great!!! Had a few dramas on sat but was just the socks, put a new set of plugs in before the weekend and by the end of the first session they where fouled :/ After talking to someone it was down to the socks as there squashed together so restricting the air flow, so wipped them off for sunday. The only other prob was a slight oil leak, after a look found to be coming from the spark plug buckets. So got a hammer and gentle folded edges and ends in to clamp better. This worked but still leaks a little but will fix later as its fine for now. So came race day and the car ran awesome!!! Sounded so much better with open webbers :P Revved so much better to, was able to control the throttle much better through the corners. When i went out for one stint the car got a we bit hot for my liking so i backed off abit and let it cool down, didnt help that it was a Hot day and track :/ So was pulled in and after a check just put it down to that. So once i was ok with that and pulled the front number plate off to help get some more air in i went out for the last 5 mins to bring the team home over the line :) I just went out and gave it my all managed to have a great fight with an alfa and passed it!!! All in all it was a great weekend and i didnt have any major issues :P When i got home and went to put car out the back i started her up...... BRAA BRAAA SHIT!!!! She blew another gasket!!! This was not good as i was doing an event that weekend!! So i pulled the spare out and went to work to figure out how to fix it properly! After a drive around to some exhaust shops i was told to get an arc rod and clean the spur stuff off, then cut to length and put behind the washer on the side that is diff height to the other manifold. I did this and it worked! All the manifolds bolted up good and flush now!!! Arrrr.... So the car was all sorted for bagshot rallysprint :) So came race day :P Got some rally tyres this time and put the socks on, was not sure how it would go as it was my first event on dirt. So when it was my turn i went out and gave it a crack, it revved fine and wasnt like it was when driving down the street. So after 6 runs i put her on the trailer. The day went great and no problems, a few big knocks over some bad bits as it was rough hahaha even got air on jumps ;) But when i went to disconnect the batt i looked and found the strut top to be broken :o Woops! So i was very lucky hahahah also broke a window winder but no biggy :P Also chucked my big speedhunters sticker on ;) So now ive just fixed the strut top after going into the shed to find another one, dad said he has never seen a strut top break like this on a rolla!! Must have been rough!!! Got heaps of vids to come :P Updates will keep coming!! See ya Jimi Thanks to John and Paul for the pics!!!!
  11. Ok so its been ages since ive done an update!!!! Alot has happend... So i have put the elec fuel pump and a marine fuel filter in the rear, Installed the hydro handbrake and plumbed up the brakes lines. All working good :D Also got around to installing the webbers!! Took me awhile to get them rebuilt but got it done! Got it all mounted and installed to get it tunned :P So Saturday i took it around to my local carbie man and he helped me out get the old girl tunned!! It went great ! Took abit of changing jets etc but once we sorted it out it was done :D Unfortunately near the end the exhaust had a leak and bad! :bash: Was def coming from the gasket :/ All good it was tunned and set! Just need to fix the gasket :P So Sunday i pulled the webbers of and had a look at the gasket ..... yeah its def that :P So after a ask and look on rc i found the part number for a one peice gasket, went and got some on order. Then moved the engine loom so it didnt get in the way of the webbers and socks, also made some little brackets to hold the brake line down! So now I'm waiting for the gaskets to arive then ill get back into it :P Also might check the tappets again lol Besides the trolla i have been doing some events but not many as i don't have a car to compete in hahah So i borrowed my sisters excel a few times and even owned a excel at one stage. Did manage to win a motorkhana in my sisters car the other week :P Hope to add some pics up later See ya Jimi

  13. yeah just found that :bash: Do they work better?? No more leaks? See ya Jimi
