thanks mate, there is no leaks anywhere, took it for a spin today, heaps of stop starting, hard brake etc, and lose of fluid or any visable leaks, pulls up nicely, but if you push took hard the rear end sorta wants to skip out., its like 70% rear, 30% front as it is now!

well u shut up mate...LMAO motor is gunna have to last a few months, gotta other bits that need doing first, like the brakes, tyres, exhuast, carpet for inside etc

geez 8 grand, not gunna do anywork till i source a 3K head..., dunno what sorta nick the 4K block is in though, could be bad, i dunno!

thanks mate, will go over it tommorow maybe, how much can a stock 4k take, i read some people take em to over 6grand...geez I'm scared it would blow up

ok, cause engine is playing up bad, coughsand spluters...needs a good tune, know of how to get the oil out from around the plugs?, do i just take the plug out?

ill take the front struts and brakes, depending on price.. and the 4x standard rims with tyres aswell,

got oil in the sparkplug holes....alot of it... i dunno if previous owner spilt oil in 2of them, or its forced its way out of the head... also, what cause a engine to backfire....loud!...is it carby runing too rich? thanks

sorry to bring up a old post, but this PC valve pipe thingy that goes to the brake thingy, anyone got a pic of it attached to car?, just so i know what it is, did the KE30 have one?, and would it explaing weak brakes?

yeah, got a set of good gemini calipers, twin pot I'm sure havent looked in a while, might see if i can make up a braket and get them hooked up, if not, off to find a KE55!

only had it 5 days, can't drive it with 2 bald tyres, (live out on farm though so do drive it a bit) ummm I'm sure its split front rear, cause one brake resivour i had to top up when doing the front, and the other one when i did rears.. will get new calipers anyway, and if it don't fix it, then maybe its somehting else

ROB1 thanks mate, hmmmm go for p's on the 16th, if i pass i might have to go for a road trip... btw, any one have any cheap 13" steel wheels with decent tyres?, or just decent tyres?, wanna get mags in the near future, so don't wanna fork out for 2 sets of tyres..or if anyone has some mags, don't care what type, as long as tyres fine

hmmmm, not them, got a feeling its the calipers. rear brakes work well, pulls car up nice on only half pedal, will go hunting at wreckers in a week or so, if it don't fix it, then....well..dunno!

hey all new here ive posted a few times here mainly looken for KE30 parts, umm bout a week ago i bought a bright-ish green KE30 corolla 77 model i think. mods so far stand at a modefied airbox..lol thats all. amm searchin for a few parts but thats in a different section of this forum. have a issue with the brakes, mainly front ones, i have to pretty much put foot to floor to stop and even then its slow to slow down. i have bleed the brakes and done it twice to make sure it was done well, after that it slows down a bit better, if i apply it hard the rear wheels lock up (on gravel driveway) but the fronts down!!... now shouldnt the front brakes have majority of the stopping power?... anyone got any sugestions to why they don't work well?, the rotors are grooved, but that shouldnt affect it much as my mums meteor is the same. the pads are fine, any help will be great, Dan "edit" how do i check what the motor is?, guy i bought off said he put in a 4k, but plates say 3k... all i see is 4.3 between plugs 3 and 4 on the head..."edit" oh yeah, here a pic.. its very boring atm!! :wink:

so has anyone actually run a 1G piston and rod setup in there 4K? I'm very interested, but need more info before i go emptying the wallet!

hey all new here, am from launnie (well nunamara), just bought a Rust free KE30 rolla the other day, but am need in a few parts front rotors and calipers (mine are rooted, rotors are badly warped and grooved) brake fluid cap thingy, the rubber cap!! front and back carpet, preferbaly black. stock exhaust!..(i know i could get a new one, but am gunna wait till either engine swap or i get extractors ont he 4K) not looken to pay an arm and leg, but will pay a fair price depending on condition thanks guys and gals have a good new year!
