  1. Theres's one for sale on a forum somewhere...looks pretty dam overrated. Here it is! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/26384-1980-t18-4agte http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?66936-Fs-1980-t18-4agte
  2. Had some words with the local engineer, he didn't seem to keen on me using AE86 brakes. Suggested S13 brakes but it's a fair bit of dicking around and I'm not too keen to start drilling suspension bits. I had a read of this: http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67138704&highlight=ae86 Can anybody confirm that this works? I assume I would need AE86 struts + the RA40 setup to make this work?
  3. Working out the bits and pieces for my conversion. Before I go see an engineer, any ideas on if I would get away with YR22 Tarago rear disk brakes, and AE86 fronts?
  4. I wish they would hurry up and bring out more E85 outlets. Then all you need is a 200L fuel tank, a retune..bigger injectors...bigger fuel pump...and your all set :D
  5. I know the Kiwi boys use these radiators for their KE55's http://www.fenixautopart.com/products_info.asp?selectclassid=002004014&id=6434 Give me a yell if you want one, I can get them pretty cheap for you through work (about $330 all up delivered). Can't really go wrong with a 56mm thick core (2 row). More rows aren't always better, it's more or less wasted space in-between!
  6. Just remove a part out of the engine bay that is critical to start the engine? Is a car theif really going to be carrying around a set of injectors, spark plugs, a battery, or a spare fuel pump?:) Really, if they want it (and are professional), they will somehow roll it out onto the street and flatbed it away. Best thing to stop that is a motion sensor rigged up to a very loud alarm. (Although would suck if somebody bumped into your car).
  7. I'm currently starting the same conversion. I'm taking my old radiator into work to measure it up and see what I can use. We have a heap of full alloy radiators here (we sell the RX7 one for ke55 rotor conversions..has nice big sidebands to drill into). See this link: http://www.fenixautopart.com/products_info.asp?selectclassid=002004014&id=6434 If you can find something on that site you think might fit let me know. Custom mounts are good if you want to sit the motor further back (can even have an engine bay mounted intercooler for stealth if you want). Diff choice depends on how much money you want to spend, and what rear end brake setup you want (4 or 5 stud). R31 brakes are good if you want to retain 4 stud. I'm going for a hilux diff w/ custom axles. Yeh it's overkill but LSD's are easy to find, and the most important one is diff ratios are pretty much unlimited. Wiring isn't much of a hassle if you have a Silvia loom.
  8. The best of the best in a 4AGE all at a bargain price of a few thousand? Dyno sheets please.
