hi, coils? can someone please help in explaining coils and every thing that goes with them to me.. I got my hands on a new bosch gtr 40 i think its called, installed it just how the original coil came out. The car was running pretty shotty, on accel in the 5,500-7,000 rpm range it would miss and splutter and carry on. Is this because its not being grounded very well? Also, what is the little cylindrical shaped thingy that is attached to the positive terminal of the coil via a wire, its bolted to a bracket on the actual coil bracket. i took it off and it did nothing....? Cylinder 3 spark plug is loosening off by itself, i don't kno why Any help with any of these things would be much appreciated. rolla's sincerly, Povpak owner....

i was wondering if the engine mounts in the ae80 are the same as those found in the ae82 twin cam...? iv just bought an ae80 with a 1.3 sohc carby and want to dump a 4agze in it. i kno i could of started with the ae82 but this car has 60,000 klms on the clock and its in supreme condition. Any help is much appreciated.

The cold weather should attract more people to cruiz, its turbo friendly and you can get all cuddly with the miss's in the back seat.....come on we all live in canberra, The Cold Capital.. I agree with rolla boy, a bunch of sooks.... :P

hi my name is Emmanuel I'm still only young at 18, i live in jerra nsw...please accept me as a canberran... i own an ae80 with a 2a 1.3..yes sad but true...only mods are 2" cat back with a 3 1/2" dump tip, lowered lovell coils..next spending spree will go towards a 4age conversion, hopefully in the next 2 months.. can anyone help me with engine mounts? are they the same in the ae82? if not could i make custom mounts without needing an engineers cert.? hope to meet you all soon for a cruize.

hey, i bought a ae80 87 corolla hatch about 6 months ago. i have lowered the car 4", high flow cat, 2" cat back 3-1/2" dump tip..i need to ask if the mounts on the ae80 are the same as whats on the ae82..iv done to much to the car to sell it, so i want to do the 1.6 efi conversion..maybe the super charged? love the site, nice work.thanks.
