Well I've now topped it up and sprayed the bolts. Fingers crossed it works out well. I've also polished the brake line. Doesn't look too bad. I'll fit it tomorrow. I hope by Saturday I'll have the sound deadening complete under that section so I can re assemble the back end. I really don't feel comfortable with her ass up in the air and only bricks chocking up the front wheels considering the slope of the driveway/dirt.

Okay small update. I've had to go out and find a new washer for my filler plug. I wanted a new one anyway. Problem was I couldnt find any at all the major part stores as the bolt is too big. I had to instead go to Bunnings and grab this... I've decided to grab spring washers for the bolts that hold the backing plate one. I want to ho have extra strength as I've noticed these diffs always leak behind the gasket. I've also bought gasket glue that has a resistance to oil. And here is is now. Tonight or tomorrow I'll top up the oil then give one last coat of paint over the bolts to clean it up. Just need to clean up the brake line and re attach it now.

We took out the windshield in the KE50 so we could cut out the metal plate from the dash. I kept resting my hands and arms on the sikaflex residue left on the car :)

KM/h speedo's came in in the late KE2x's. KE3x's were KM/h for sure.
