Picked up the car tonight, majority of the cage is bent up, I'll bend up the intrusion bars and seat mounts once the cage is fitted and I am able to work them out properly, I have another 3 7.3m lengths of tube at the workshop, the car weighs 575kg as is minus the parts of the cage sitting in it, the cage material sitting in it weigh 25.5kg. Gotta wait now infill my brother is free to help me with the fitment, he has fantastic tig welding skill unlike me

Well before you close the thread I'd just like to say well done on such a great build and thank you for sharing it with us

My wheels turned up but there was a mix up with the offset and they sit out too wide so they have all been sold already and I'll organize the cage shortly

All finished and stickered up now?

Yeh mine are brass joints with oil ports

Thanks mate, I get mine from shepp city bearings, you should be able to get them at most bearing shops
-
I'd rather sell all of them mate, you could put a whole set on yours with a spare 👍👌

Finally got something done, I now have proper engine mounts, I will start on making the proper gearbox mount this week, I got a quote on the cage getting bent up for me and the supply of the material, now I've just gotta save my penny's, hopefully I can get that done in the next month as long as I don't get anymore bills in the mail, once the cage is bent my brother and I will find a free weekend to notch and weld it, fully tig welded, then it's onto steering column, dash and pedal box manufacturing

Haha I've got a road bike for the occasional ride in the hills, plenty of camping gear, I'm glad I'm not wasting money on the other stuff but I wouldn't mind picking up a girlfriend haha
-
Yeh I was thinking today I'm set for a bit, finish the red 30 in a year or so, then build the white 30 rally car, about a 6 month build then 6 months to restore the coupe haha and try do do all that while saving for a house

Thanks mate, I was starting to think no ones reading it anymore, I'll keep it going till the end, everyone loves the shed, it's dad's business, about 3 years and I'll build my own house and shed, I'm 20 years old so still at home
