  1. Its got some shadeing sticker at the base of the doors and the boot too, you can see it in the pic. I like it :) Grandpa spec of course haha
  2. WMMH: Picking up this sexy beast on saturday. Its pretty much showroom condition and i have always wanted a Bumblebee one haha. Picking it up for 1 grand. Got a yellow flat front end that could possibly see this car too. maybe.
  3. Oh really haha? Yeah i can deal with it, as long as it works. I just thought it was cooked ha Cheers for that
  4. When your fuel lift pump sounds like a machine gun. grrrrrrrr I double checked there was nothing in the fuel lines, cleaned them all out and everything, and this is a new Facet fuel pump. Thinking it might be a chinese copy though... It quitens up a fair bit once it has a good flow of fuel running through, but once it runs back into the tank again - crack-crack-crack-crack-crack don't ʞ©$ɟ with me, ke70. Now that your tank has petrol in it and the fuel pumps half work its easy to set fire to you.
  5. Meh in the same boat with exams! I'm not as unlucky to get one on a friday though. But a three hour exam earlier this week, and another three hour one on tuesday, shiiit. Work a night shift straight after it too
  6. Yeah ive got the dizzy unbolted and tried putting it on after the extractors are in properly but that just makes it worse ha :/ Na, i've already got the grinder onto it and taken as much plastic and metal off that bolt as possible hah, the worst thing is its just so close but not quite! Yeah its a smallport, and hmm i might have to look into that then!! I have a bigport i can get my hands on, thanks for that. And yeah, they look like decent quality extractors its just a shame they don't quite fit ha. They're made by CXracing on ebay, not too much more money more to pay then your average steel 4 into 1's. Ive got them off at a mates place whos a metal worker now, he's going to heat them up and just bend a few of the pipes across 5mm or so
  7. Bought some stainless steel equal length extractors for the 4age, They turn up later in the post and i put some time into sanding and polishing the stainless. Try fit them to the car after i have removed the exhaust studs and bent the clutch line, no. Hits on the distributer. Contact the seller and they say, "oh, our motor we fit them too have a non- EFI distributer" yet they said, to suit 16v 4a-ge motor 86-91 or whatever in their ad. No mention of needing some weird replacement distributer. It just looks like their jig to do the welds got out of wack, but they still wont replace/ fix it. Pics in the ad looks the exact same distributer as mine. So now i need to either to get the bent or rewelded.. any recommendations? I can probably get it if they were 5mm across further.. ive already ground the plastic on the dizzy cap down.. Edit: the manifold flange is about 3mm away from touching the head at the front, where it should be bolted to.
  8. $10,000+ front struts!? Shit, i went down the xt130 big brake road, adjustable 7.2kg T3 coilovers and KYB AGX 4 way adjustable shocks and that set me back just a tad under $600. But as for the budget, i reckon you could do that easy. I spent $1000 on my ke70 with under 100xxxKs, spent $700 on a 100kw 4age with ecu and wiring loom and rwd inlet manifold, gearbox, crossmembers, tailshaft and pedal box, they will set you back a bit. I got mine out of a car i got for $100 but that was very lucky ha. Expect $500 plus or minus here. Then, all the tiny bits and pieces, fuel pumps, fuel lines, surge tank, filters, seals and gaskets that you may need, all those things that you find you need along the way, i would have spent around $700 there too. Not including a full custom exhaust system which i am yet to buy. So, i would have pulled mine off for $3200 easy including the price of the car, and the rough estimation of what the exhaust will be. Oh, the 4age i got was cheapish for $700 too, add $500 or so just to be safe, so $3700. I have spent money on a lot of un needed things though, suspension wheels headlights interior peices etc though. Thats where you can put the rest of your budget anyway. $10k is plenty enough in my opinion anyway ha
  9. Pushing the ke70 in my driveway (not running yet, engine conversion) Go past a tree, completely forget the drivers door is open, even though i am pushing it from that side... Bent it back, pulled and stretched the shell where the little metal rod attaches thats ment to stop the door from opening too far, pull the metal out so far that the door opens far enough to hit the front guard, leaving a big curved dent down the whole front side of the door. I swear i break and dent this thing more when it isnt even running or driving.
  10. Hearing the friendly buzz of two fuel pumps! Looks like i did sort the wiring out right after all hah. wasnt as simple as i thought Shit they are loud though...
  11. Okay, just got told it was out of an MX73 cressida. Also, quick bit of research showed that every second new modernish large car has a 27mm front anti roll bar - falcons, commodores etc. So a quick trip to the wreckers, two new holes drilled and it will be all properly mounted. So yeah, if theres an mx73 in the wreckers near you its worth grabbing that anti roll bar!
  12. I'm just waiting to hear back from the guy i grabbed it off as to what exact model its from. Anyway, il need to grab some new D brackets and bushes to suit i think, i tried dodging something up using the ke70 ones but 27mm is just that bit too big for it hah other then that its like it was made for it!
  13. Fits sweet! Got it all bolted up now. Other then the D bushes of course, which needed some dodging up to accommodate a chunky 27mm bar instead of the 21mm. And to think, companies sell the 24 and 25mm ones for $3XX. This should go down decent with the VR commodore swaybar i've already got in the back. Now just to stop messing around, get the 4age running and see how this feels! Its going to be very interesting to see how it drives hah
  14. Its amazing how many parts between Toyota share the same design/ shape. Picked this up from a pile of parts for scrap metal today, apparently from a Cressida. 21mm Ke70 bar next to the 27mm Cressida bar. Now just to fit it :) shouldnt be hard, very similar shape.
