  1. Made it into Hot4's issue 229! Waiting on the full feature in a few months
  2. Just a few snaps from the Slammed Ambitions (our new car club starting up) cruise the other day. Cruised to a few beaches then finished the arvo in the pub, was a lush day. Also just like to thank the people who have voted for my car for RCCOTY so far, much appreciated!
  3. Just had a guy from Hot4's Mag from Melbourne do a full photo shoot on the Ke today, will be a full feature in 3 months. So stoked!
  4. Next on the list for the ke.....Boot install! Plan on boxing the boot out for some subs and things soon and i thought why not go all out, just need some dosh! it always seems to be the problem :laff: I recon i will continue with the same colour carpet and vinyl as inside to keep it flowing through. Will go with a false floor so i can display the amps in perspex boxes with some led's around them and also so i can put my PS1 in there. Why you ask? because PS1's are a bit old school and you just can't beat the games, Crash Bandicoot FTW! Would like to have 2 10" Rockford p3 subs on either side of the face with a small monitor in the middle for the PS1. Hope you gus like the idea, something different. Just have to start saving now haha
  5. Thanks alot man, yeah it takes alot of time and patience but its worth it. Appreciate it! :y:
  6. So on futher inspection we have found out that it has been crashed in the drivers side pretty hard before and the panel beaters have done a dodgey repair job. The whole drivers side inner guard has been pushed back and across wich has put the wheel 6mm back and the bolt holes for the guard are no were near lined up! So we had a talk to Dads mate who is a panel beater and he said the inner guard will have to be replaced to fix i properly. Then began the massive job of unpicking all the spot welds, removing it and replacing it with a new one then welding it all back in. Luckily my mate had one an old Ae71 in the backyard that was due for the crushers. We finished all that and took some more measurements only to realise the wheel was still back a bit because the rail was also a tad bent. So we worked out the cross member holes had to be slotted across to bring it right. Once all that was done it all measures up with in 1mm, so not to bad and now all the guard holes line up properly as well.
  7. What are peoples thoughts on a chin spoiler fo it?
  8. Thanks heaps guys! really appreciate it :y:
  9. Haha na the slanty front one was actually one of the nicest standard ones ive seen in Tassie in a long time, was so straight! The other one just had a heap of big dents in it. Thanks man! Yeah bit of a major job ay haha. Hahaha cheers man! Thanks bro
  10. Thanks heaps man! Unsure about them just a few randoms that parked next to me. The slanty front one was tidy as but the other one was a bit rough
  11. Bit of an update on the purple people eater for you guys. Finally got around to getting the cloth inserts removed from the seats and replaced with vinyl with the original brown stitching which looks heaps better. Also had the TEQ logo sewn into the middle of the back seat for a finishing touch. After the seats had been put back in on Saturday the next day i put it in the Shannons Car and Bike expo, one of the biggest ones of the year and managed to win my 6th trophy in a row for Best 1980's Modified. So stoked! Also just recently received some news that it will be going into Hot4's magazine in the readers rides section in issue 229 and then later on they are doing a full write up on it! Heres a few pics from the weekend that people took.
  12. <3 gilmer kit, just got one for mine. Hold on to it man there worth abit to buy brand new. Loving this thing, keep it up
  13. Yeah man, looks so fat! Actually the body wasnt the greatest, only things we havent touched so far is the drivers side front guard and the roof haha
  14. Bit of progress has been happening on the Ae Managed to get the last front guard paint stripped the other day and mock fitted it all up properly. Fits up all surprisingly well considering it has been crashed in the front at one stage. I'm also after a set of Rebel rims to fit it in 14x7 or 8 or 15x7 or 8. Does anyone know of any or where i could get hold of some? want a set to run for the track. Thinking of getting a set of replica work equips for it for the street from the states and painting the lips gloss black like the ones in the picture and run a tyre with a bit of white writing around it, make it look a bit race spec, a bit like the white one in the pic
  15. Yeah didnt drill it, just spaced the fins apart a little bit
  16. Managed to get a few snaps of the gilmer set up today for you guys. Have to say one of the best mods i have done to it haha, love it!
  17. I sand blasted it man, then painted it with vht alluminium. Cheers bro, yeah was a sick day
  18. Bit of an update guys Got the thermo fan and switch in the other week with no dramas. Will put some pics up of it later on. Also painted the 5 speed and got it in wich was a big improvement, really nice and smooth and now it doesnt rev its guts out. While it was up on the hoist i gave it a quick clean also. This weekend past i went on a charity cruise called Jacobs recovery cruise wich was to raise money for 18 year old Jacobs treatment as he was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma cancer about a month back. So they organised a big cruise as he is a car lover at 10 bucks per car with a bbq, drinks and a raffle at the meeting place. They also picked the top 100 cars to go back to Joes Garage after the cruise to line the street for a show and shine which they identified by a Joes Garage sticker on your front window which got shut down by the popo anyway because they wherent happy with the way all the cars where parked on the road  Always wrecking the fun. Was a massive tun out with about 300 cars and some bikes and around about 7 grand was raised. Was such a mad day for such a good cause. The downside to the day was around about 100 cars got booked and 50 got defected because they decided to let rip burnouts leaving the meeting point. don't get me wrong it was sick but the popo didnt think so haha Also the new gilmer belt drive was a hit, had alot of people thinking i had something big under the hood :lolcry: Heres a few pics that other people took.
  19. Oh hell yeah man for sure. Speaking of pics heres a few of your old lights dummy fitted up. Got the front all looking good now and started making up brackets to hold the lights in.
  20. Update! Getting a bit done to the purple one just to give it a few finishing touches but we all know its never finished :laff: My gilmer belt drive arrived last night along with my Rockford Fosgate power 6x9's for the parcel shelf, 100wats rms each one, will pump Was busting out to get the belt drive on but what was a half hour job turned into a 3 hour job as the stud pattern on my water pump was different to the top pulley holes :bash: luckily i had another water pump that was the right pattern but i still had to take the water pump off, press the two fronts off the spline and swap them over but i got it done by the end of the night and i can say it was so worth it, sounds amazing! Yet to fit the new thermo fan i got for it. Also picked up a 5 speed gearbox for it at last for 150 bucks and i got a complete 4k stuck to it as well, bargin. Turns out its been rebuilt at one stage and everthing is smooth as and nice and tight. chucking it in on friday.
