  1. Na I'm not using the original strut shock only the bit on the bottom of it where it mounts to the control arm, I'm just going to cut it off then weld the bottom bit of the strut to the coilovers. Did you have a look at the link?
  2. The ones I'm looking at are weld on's. So the bottom of my original strut is cut off so i still have the bottom bit that bolts to the control arm and then the coil over it put over the top and welded around the bottom. So i don't see why i would have to change any of that. So is there any camber tops that will fit straight in? Heres a link to them. http://www.garage7.com.au/home/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=873&category_id=388&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53&vmcchk=1&Itemid=53
  3. Yeah thay are adjustable so its all good Why's that?
  4. Thanks man, thats tha main thing i wanted to know, if the stud pattern was the same.
  5. So just about to invest in some coilovers and i have come across BC v1 race coilovers to fit an AE86, front and rear. Before i order them i just need to know if the ae86 camber top stud pattern is the same as my 83 ke70 and if they will fit into the back aswell because i have heard that the AE86 has basicly the same chassie as a ke70 or AE71 and that they should fit. Could some one help us out and tell me if any modifications need to be made to fit them in the strut towers in the front and rear? Cheers :y:
  6. Good man, all the sanding is now finished and it has not a mark in it and the detailer is booked in to buff it up in 2 weeks. I'm now working full time to so as soon as i get paid I'm going to buy all the stuff i need to finish it off, coilovers, rear springs, indicators, number plate lamps, steering wheel, the list goes on you know how it is :laff: Also got the radiator and tail shaft sandblasted so i will flick the radiator with some satin black and paint the tail shaft purple :D After all of that has been put in I'm off to get some rego on it :y:
  7. Thanks heaps Ben, yeah going to build something eventually but getting a weather proof car cover with a flece lining to protect it a bit for the time being :y:
  8. More pics :)
  9. Update guys :) Well the sev is coming along nicely. Dad payed a visit to his mate who did the guards to get his orbital sander for bodyworking so we could begin to start colour sanding it as a few repair marks have come back throught the paint now it has been left to settle for a while. So i set about dismantling half the car again :no2: had to take the door handles off and to do that of corse you have to take all the door panels off again, took the mirror and fuel cap of aswell. While we where at it we decided to go around the whole car to get any inperfections or orange peel out of the paint. Still have a bit to go but after it is all finished the detailer will come up and marsk the edges back up again with fineline tape and marsk any trim work where the buffer might hit and spend a day cutting it back up with a buffer. We went around the whole car and marsked along all the edges as it is very easy to rub through the paint work and the detailer doesnt like to buff near the edges either for that reason. By doing this the result is a perfectly flat show car mirror finish  I also managed to fluke winning another Domo the other day on the fist go on a toy machine for a dollar haha this time it was the propper one, saved me 10 bucks of Ebay :laff:
  10. Hey man, well to answer that question we painted the engine bay, around the inside of the doors and the out side frames, the door jams and the under side of the bonnet and boot, the rest of the out side body was done by the painter. By us doing all the inner stuff it makes it alot easier for the painter to marsk up and paint. Here's a few links to when stuff was painted http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/50562-my-83-ke70-build/page__st__30 http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/50562-my-83-ke70-build/page__st__45 http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/50562-my-83-ke70-build/page__st__90
  11. TURBZ!! hell yeah man. can't wait to see this thing go :y: Keep it up Jono
  12. I should of never of mentioned it :laff: evey time i see my mate he says "so Cadburys called me the other day and said they want there car back" haha haha you dog
  13. Thanks heaps Jono, yeah keen as to get it on the streets. Hey you forgot the mad as coons with flames up them and stodgies on the back :laff: :y: Thanks dude, yeah its a custom mix, was returned to the shop 4 times befor i was happy with the colour. Actually had the colour matched off a model car i made a while back :D haha and don't even start with the Cadburys shit, that all i ever hear :laff:
  14. Hey man, the only bit of the interior that has been painted is the silver plastic bit that was around the heater controls and the door light. Painted it satin black because the silver was stuffed. Thanks man, look closely, i did do a manual conversion. Working the 4k because i want to keep it old school with a set of webbers for something a bit different, every one put 4age's in them. Plus i can get i worked fo only cost of parts. don't need anything overly powerful as its only going ot be a cruiser, not going to drift it, will wreck it.
  15. Hes mad ay :D , if you give me $20 bucks ill have a go at winning one for you but no prommises haha Going to buy the propper fuzzy one off ebay because i can't be bothered spending alot of money to get nothing out of a toy machine ha The next thing to do will be to take the radiator out, sand blast that and the tail shaft then paint them and put them back in. After that i need to get the front coilover kit off the net so i can paint the front struts and put the brakes back on and bleed them. Then i can take it for a spin
  16. So after school today i walked passed a toy machine in the shopping centre, put 1 dollar in and on the first go, look what i managed to grab :D Added a little jdm to him  Domo loves it :laff:
  17. Haha i might have some trouble doing thay as it has no brakes or tail shaft :laff: Yeah was fully rebuilt, new rings, seals bearings, timing kit, gaskets, filters etc, just the norm. It come with another 2 blocks and heads when i brough the car so one of Dads best mates works engines so later on he is going to do a head and block for me for cost of parts, bore it out, shave it, bigger decked pistons, bigger valves, a cam and a coupple of su's or webber carbys to give it something. Thanks man, yeah it does sound pretty tough ay :D The left hand mirror is great thanks, finised cleaning and painting it and it come up so well, can wait to get it on the car. Thanks so much again :y: I have no choice about buying them off ebay as mine only had one on it as the other one was smashed :( and where the car sits now is where it lives :sob: Dad kicked me out of the shed after it was near finised to put his cars back in the shed, that was the deal unfortunatly :n: Getting a storm proof car cover with a woolen flece lining for it though to give it some protection. Cheers :) Cheers man, really appreciate it :y:
  18. Thanks man, yeah actually just about to order some off ebay and a few other bits and pieces. Got a fair bit to do yet until its on the road.
  19. Thanks man, yeah I can't wait to take it for a spin when it's done.
  20. So awesome news guys. Got my extractors painted today, finised off the wiring, put the radiator in and with some water, oil and petrol HEY PRESTO it started :D At first the timing was out a tad so we fixed that and then the jet was a bit blocked up so it was flat spotting a bit. So we took the carby back off and unblocked it and it was all good :y: Sounds a bit like a tractor at the moment with no exhaust :laff: Radiator still has to come back out to be sandblasted and painted. I managed to get a few vid's uploaded to youtube, check them out :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esrVtjMrqqQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9j6H3IsR0AM
  21. :( Oh thats shit as man, :hmm: something must be wrong along the lines some where. Good luck with it man, hope it sorts out all good for you. Yeah just getting the video camera ready :)
  22. Ha thanks man, what happened to yours?
  23. So the moment i have been waiting for is near. Hopefully starting the beast tomorrow :wootjump:
  24. Haha lovely love stains ay. Mine were really badly stained but i sprayed them with spray and whipe, preen carpet cleaner and degreaser then scrubbed them with a brush then katcher cleaned them and they came out sweet, not a mark on them.
  25. Thanks man :) Yeah i have been looking every where down here for a back seat aswell to get a bit of material out of it but it just seems impossible to find one. Theres a few at the wrecking yards here and there but they all seem to be stuffed from sun damage, alot of the ones i have looked at just fell apart when i touched them :laff: . So yeah once again if anyone knows of a back seat even, in good nick that would be sweet :y:
