  1. Yeah was mad ay. Will look sick once its all together, trust me
  2. haha na this one aint going to be a show car but it will be tidy on the outside and in the interior but not worring about the engine bay much, spraying it out but not the engine and all the rest. Ive decided I'm going to paint it white with black and chrome wheels with black door frames and windows heres a peak of what it looked like before i attacked it, was so dirty. Will put some up tomorrow night of how it looks now, stripped the front off it and I'm going to change it to flat front as i have all the bits left over bits from the purple one, it needed 2 new front guards anyway because the ones on it are stuffed and full of bog so i thought i would convert it to flat front while I'm at it, just need to find a flat front bonnet. Also stripped all the interior out of it today ready to be cleaned Also the rims I'm putting on it will be 15x7 Rota Grid-v classics
  3. Good news people, picking up a new Rolla within the next 2 days for a daily so the purple one doesnt get wrecked. Its a Ae71 in good condition that an old bloke has. Been the only owner, has 120000 km's on the clock and it hasnt movet for 2 years and he wants to get rid of it so I'm getting it for 200 bucks  Going to give it a fresh coat of paint either white or bright yellow I'm thinking, open to ideas. Getting the guards flaired again why I'm at it and dropping it over a set of black and chrome wheels, undecided what sort yet but want to keep the old school theme going. Give me some ideas guys.
  4. That would be some 6x9 rockford fosgate speakers 3 way splits for the parcel shelf, ordering them soon. Just about to start boxing out the boot with mdf and get it carpeted and vinyl'd And then I'm getting the cloth inserts in the seats removed and replaced with the same vinyl as on the back of the seats :)
  5. Cheers man, lot of scrubbing went into that :laff: Ha actually it wasnt that bad, more worried about Dad ha Yeah true that :laff: I doubt it man, might after its been on the road for a year or 2
  6. Haha loves it, don't worry getting the cloth seat inserts changed to all vinyl soon, will make it a little less granny :laff:
  7. Haha cheers Jono  and don't worry i wont be drifting it any time soon, lost dads commie in the wet the other nigh and spun it a few times and i wasnt even trying to do anything haha, probs got something to do with the stuffed rear tyres :laff:
  8. Just a few happy snaps ive found here and there. First drive on the road with dad driving as it had no plates :laff: Took it over to show my awesome Nan too :)
  9. looks boss man, keep it up
  10. Haha thanks Richard :y: I will need that back left hand side end cap too when you can get it. Getting the money off the bloke tomorrow
  11. Na because if i do that i will know what will happen, i wont be able to help myself and spend to much money on it :laff: After i show it for a while I'm just going to drive it and enjoy, after all thats what it was built for, just got out of hand haha. Ill get a crappy ute or something soon for a daily so the sev doesnt get destroyed though :) Yeah as Kickn5k said, it wasnt on the road before it was judged. Cheers bro ;) :y: Thanks heaps man :D Cheers Jono, yeah i love the thing, my baby ha  Oh yes for sure man, will be sick
  12. Haha i dunno about that :) Got another show in two weeks
  13. Got a quick update for you guys :) Cleaned the girl up and put it in another car show on the weekend just down from where i live on the oval. Dad also decided to chuck his WB pannel van in so we parked them together. There where heaps of nice cars there, more than in the show at Powercruise and mine was 1 of about 3 or Jap cars so i felt abit singled out ha :no2: To my supprise it took out another trophy :laff: Was a mad day, heres a few of my personal favs, the Falcon and the Caddy and a few snaps
  14. Haha cheers dude, glad you like it :D :y:
  15. Thanks heaps man :y: haha nice, did you see the Rollaclub sticker on the back window? Yeah got a few more plans for it when i get some more dollars. Boxing out the boot shortly and carpeting and vinyling it and eventually it will have a few subbs and amps in it. Also getting the fabric insert on the seats replaced so the whole lot of the seats are vinyl with the original stitch pattern in them. Pretty much continuing on the vinyl from the backs of the seats so its all the same colour. Mabey a few years down the track i might throw a 4age in it if i get sick of the 4k but i kinda want to keep it old school so i might do a head for that, throw a mild cam in it and put a set of twin 40mm webbers on the side of it.
  16. Thanks man :y: Cheers :) i can't go much lower, scrubs now and then in the rear and the front is already 10mm lower than the rear so if i go much more you will start to notice it Thanks heaps guys :) :y:
  17. So its been a fair while since i have done an update on the purple beast. Going away for a while soon in 2 days so i will do a proper update when i get back but for now the good news is that i have the car with rego on it, insured it with Shannons and it drives like a dream and nothing has gone wrong with it so I'm wrapped. In the end i found some AE86 calipers, rotors and brackets and I'm borrowing a pair of my mates hubs at the moment so the front coilovers are now in for good :) As i said also i was planning on taking it up to powercruise 34 at Sylmonds Planes with some mates wich i did to put it in the show and shine. When i got there i lined it up with the other cars and had a look at a few of the other ones and i though i had no chance against some of them. Anyway the judges judge them in which class they think suits them best, so there was street class (wich is what i thought mine would have been in), show class and competition class. So i cleaned it all up and left it there for the day to be judged. Come 3 o-clock it was time for the trophy presentations so me and my mates went over to see who got what and 4th trophy in the pronounced my name and car for 'Top 1948 to 1986 show class' :o haha. I couldnt beleive it, they put it in the show class, i ended up beating imaculate Torannas and stuff like that, still blowing out over it :laff: I ended up with a awesome trophy and 50 bucks to Supercheap Auto, over all a pretty good weekend i say :D
  18. Well me and a some mates are booked in to take it up to the Powercruise show on the 27th of this month so I'm flat out trying to get everything finished off so i can take it to the exhaust shop, get that fitted and then get some rego and insurance on it. So not long now :D
  19. haha yeah Ebay is the best As in rego or custom plates?
  20. Haha thats the way Hmm i dunno, i think it adds some personality to it + is on the inside where you can't see them. Trust me on this one though, there will be no more stickers going on it, can't stand stickers all over cars. Thanks man :y:
