  12. Well i plan on it being just as clean to start with but I'm just going to drive the crap out of it and enjoy it not having to worry about it as much knowing i have another good weekender as i will eventually get wear and tear being a daily. Not saying I'm not going to look after it as much but yeah :laff: Thanks man, and that would be a negative haha this is a big enough job as is

  18. Hey guys I'm back for another build After just finishing the purple ke70 http://www.rollaclub...-83-ke70-build/ which was supposed to be my first car, i realised i went over bored haha, its now turned into a show car/weekend cruiser because i don't want to wreck it as its been doing well in the shows. It makes me nervous to even leave it on the side of the road now haha so i decided i needed to get a daily driver. I first though that i would get a ute or something until dads mate told him he found a ae71 at this old blokes house he did a job for, told him he wanted to get rid of it, had just been sitting there for two years straight not being driven and out of rego, said he would take 200 bucks for it! haha so i jumped at it and gave him 300 bucks for it the next day because it was so worth it but it was really dirty and full of spiders as you could imagine after two years. So the plan was to tidy it up and just give it a flick of paint and put some wheels on it, but you know how it is haha :bash: . Now I'm working full time i decided i would make it into a daily/track car. So its now at home in the shed with most of the body work done, just waiting for the weather to warm up to give it a coat of polyester. I also am not a fan of the slanty fronts so i found some flat front guards, bonnet and other pannels and I'm using the old square light front out of the purple one but putting some crystal head light in it with a hid kit that i picked up for $80 pretty much brand new. Then came the 16v 4age bigport i picked up for $1000 for a complete set up  When we brought it home and stripped it down it looked like it had never had an oil change in its life as you can see from the pic so Dad got his mate to dip all the engine parts and sand blast a few things to freshen it all up. Also picked up a genuine RWD manifold for it and a polished stainless valley cover. So thats where its up to at the moment but here's a plan of what I'm going for. Going to paint it a bright white slammed over a set of 15x8 work equip replicas from the states with flaired guards again, if i can get hold of a set of rebels i might run them too. Keeping the purple theme going with this one also haha :D but under the engine bay this time. Painted the block purple, also will polish the letters on the rocker cover up like chrome and paint the background purple, purple cam gears, vacume hoses and a few other bits and pieces. Bling bling! Taking it down to a friends to get a bolt in half cage put in it soon and painting it the same white as the body. Also plan on putting another set of ae86 bc coilovers under it like the purple one but mabey the next model up as i plan on hitting the track with it a bit. As for the engine the block and pistons are getting machined to get the compression up to about 10.5-1 as i can get it done for free, the head has been ported out also putting a set of crow mild cams in it and looking at putting a haltech sport 1000 ecu system on it. Sould be able to get it up around 160 rear wheel hp hopefully. Should be an exciting little daily, hope you guys like it
  19. Thanks man, na never did auto at gyc but yeah they love it in there ay.
  20. Hey guys, I'm back haha though it might be time for a bit of an update, its been a while, have been flat out at work. Just got a few pics that i have found that i thought i would throw up. Blue Datsun 1600 is my mates project, also some photos of the ae86 front end set up with machined spindles to fit standard ke70 hubs back on because i couldnt find any ae86 ones ha. Also just a few cruising pics. Latest mods that are about to happen to the purple machine now that its tax time will be gilmer belt drive, seats booked in to get vinyl insert done and putting some rockford fosgate 6x9's in the back and mabey even custom plates, then I'm going to concentrate on the ae. Just about to make a new thread on my new ae, making good progress with it and the new 4age so look out for it!
  21. Hey man, yeah bolts straight up pretty much, just need what you said, calipers, rotors and hubs and you just need to mod the steering knuckles or get ae86 ones, i just filed one of the holes out on mine. If you can't get 86 hubs you can get the spindle machined like i had to back to ke70 so you can run standard hubs on them because i couldnt find any. Cheers
