Time for an update guys. So my rims still havent arrived, been waiting for about 6 weeks now so have done a fair bit in that time. I saw a sand blaster in a catalogue on sale and decided it could be useful so i brought one and got carried away with it and sand blasted the whole gearbox and painted it haha but came out sweet. I also painted the back of the beaver pannel satin black before it went back on and underneath the floor pan. All the wiring and loom around the front has also been done in that plastic tubing stuff and re taped. Dad also got busy and painted the front bumper brackets and charchole canister purple after i sand blasted them. And just yesterday the engine went back in and i started re plumbing it :D Hopefully the wheels come soon.

Yeah thats it. Apparently they are optional when they where sold but very hard to find as it turns out. So i go told the left hand side ones come out on toyota T18's which are identical to the right hand side ke70 ones's, so i nee to find a T18

Still after a left side T18 or ke70 door mirror, having a hard time finding one for my ke70 which only has a right side one and i want to keep it standard. Someone please help us out Cheers

Got stuck into it this weekend, sanded down my radiator support panel and inner guards, masked her up and painted it semi gloss black. Then dad and i got to work putting on a black vinyl strip around the windscreen to cover up the crappy job that toyota did of fitting it :laff: then put the chrome trim back on. Took forever to make a template up for the bottom strip :bash: but got it in the end and it came out really nice. After that we started to fit the interior back in after getting the dash back from the vinyl repairs. Finished cleaning the carpet then put the underlay back in and went from there. We also got some chrome bar bolts and fitted the rear bar for good, and i finished painting the boot and fitted the tail lights in :)

Got a bit more done today, finished fitting the central locking :yes: and put the plastic seals back on. Then i cleaned up and put my other two door panels all back together and then i had to sit a seat in it just to have a perve ha

Yeah its the same with 2 pack, you have to leave it for about a month or so so it settles down and see if any bit of bog srinks back at all and a few bits here and there have started to form a slight line on the edge of where it was repaired, but no problems, wait a bit longer to see if it settles anymore then wet sand it with a block and it disapears pretty easy. Oh ok, yeah they don't come out with a LHS mirror, the only way i would get one is from Ammerica or where ever else they come out LH drive. Thanks heaps anyways :D

Cheers that would be great. i didnt think the flat fronts come out with lhs mirrors, mine didnt.

Yeah thanks man, i have been looking at both of those options for a while now but i havent seen what the chrome ones look like on a kesev before, they look pretty good actually. I was also just about to buy those black ones off ebay but held off incase i found an original one off a left hand drive.

Na i have only got the 1983 model with the single drivers side mirror and i want to keep the mirror on the door, keeps it old school and + i havent welded the holes up so i can't now cause its been painted. Also can't be stuffed getting the right windows for it, but thanks anyways :y:

Ok guys, trying to find a mirror that would look good on my ke70 and can't find anything that i like, so i have decided to run the standard door one that comes on the 83, but i really want a left hand side one too, because as you might know they don't come out with one. So i figured i could try and get one off a left hand drive one but i can't find any at all. Could someone please help me out if they have one or know where to get one from, even a suggestion of different type mirrors that i could run keeping i mind i don't like round ones :) Cheers :D :y:
