A can of "start ya bastard!" with one of those little directional hoses on the front works wonders on the eyes of would-be agressors. As are those small fire extinguishers. Both of these things are perfectly legal in a car. as long as you say " i was so scared, i didnt know what to do i just grabbed the first thing i could find"...and ofcourse "someone else" came along and kicked the shit out of them and stole thier wallets while they wer blinded and screaming. :P

I think people have less respect for older cars, like our corollas, or 'Datsuns' as most old jap cars are seen as, to the untrained eye. I used to have a really clean RX4, it was resprayed the original white and was pretty spotless. I had just pulled into a car park and an old dude pulled in next to me and proceeded to open his door into my passenger side door. I got out and stormed over to his car like a madman and yelled "what the f@$% do you think you're doing!? you just hit my car with your door!" he looked confused/disgusted and said "what are you worried about? its only an old datsun!" so i checked my door, there wasn't any damage, just some flecks of his paint. Called him every F and C under the sun and he walked away. More recently, a was sitting in my KE35 and watched as a woman smashed her trolley into the front of my car, she noticed i was sitting in it, so she looked at me and laughed!!!! My bumper was dinged to start with so i let it go, but the nerve!! I agree with what other people on here have said, your good car shouldn't be your shopping car, that's why i bought an XF panel van!

nope, the shaft is not a straight bolt up, the spline is different, and I'm pretty sure the uni's are different too. i have a KE35 with an AE71 T50 in it, and it had to have the yoke from an AE71 tailshaft welded on the end, it was also shortened a bit.

yeah thats half of the reason i want a ke10, theyer unique, anyone that has one is verry fond of it, and remembers it, in my old RX4 i used to get old guys coming up to me in the street, telling me about when they had one, and people would follow me to whereever i was going and talk to me about it, it was great. now somone sell me a KE10!... or 20!

hes trying to sell it on toymods too, i might wait it out and give him an offer sometime down the track when he sees that nobody wants to pay that much for a beat up KE10

I know KE10's are more expensive than other models, it doesnt really bother me, but i have this habit of getting obsessed with a type of car and rushing in and buying the first thing that comes up, i usually end up with a pile of crap that i spend heaps of money on then give away. i just don't know weather i should grab this one while i can or wait till a better one comes up...how often do they come up for sale?

AE82's only came out with either the Twincam 16 valve 4AGE, or a SOHC 8 valve 4AC. stick the carby on the 4AC, atleast it'll sound cool! they are actually pretty good motors.

yeah, you better make sure your passenger side floor is bolted in properly, or it might drop out onto the road if you get "danger to manifold" :)

i think it will be interesting...i have seen this done in KE30s and geminis, even datsun 1200s so i think it will *fit* i agree if you want to do burnouts, and maybe go fast on the 1/4 its a great idea, put i 1GGZE sc14 supercharger on it and it would fry tires like nothing else. If you want it to be a streetcar, id be getting some advice from an engineer, it will be way nose heavy. have you considered a 1GGTE or 1GGZE? they are lighter, and most likeley cheaper than the neandathalic pushrod v6, and theres heaps more potential for later mods.
