  3. no there is no gauges or warning lights other than the typical ke20 cluster........ "contact points" means there is something like a relay's contacts, just like in the headlight switch. I can clearly see it moving up and down when i manually turn the speedometer. I there any over speed warning chime in Ke20s ? One of my friend told me that it is a warning chime, but not sure...
  4. Does anyone know what this contact points do in ke20 speedometer ?? cannot find any clue. There is nothing mentioned in the wiring diagram. Anyone know what this thing does??

  10. Hi mate, just read your valve stem seal clashing problem. I need your help......... i have the same problem. I have installed new valve guides recently. But they are exactly same in lengths as the original guides. valvetrain is stock but the problem is the valve stem seal gets hit by the valve spring retainers. I cannot figure out what is happening. Is it causing by bad length stem seals??? because the rest is stock......... i didn't buy stem seals separately. They came along with the Head replacement kit named as FUJI (made in japan). :hammer:

  17. i got tired of garage workers...... and well known carb tuners in my area. non of em was able to solve my prob. the prob was very poor gas mileage...... at last i jumped into the carb and found the solution. the venturi gasket was leaking, and there is another leakage near the accelerator pump spray nozzle. And the primary main jet is also quite large. so i did fix all the leakages and lowered the jet, and then before the carb goes in i adjusted the ignition timing spot on...... i mean spot on.... then the result.......... she's purring like a kitten...... what a difference :rocknroll: oh what a feeling it is when you see water drips out from the exhaust  before it was full of black smoke inside the tailpipe end..... i washed the shit out to see whether my work is fine....... yeeeessssss it's far more than fine....... i've driven it for about 300km until now , there is almost no black shit in the tailpipe...... and more than anything now she's doing about 32mpg / 14kmpl on short runs or in city...... never tested it in a long runs...... but this it should do about 40mpg.... that is more than enough.....

  23. ahhhhhhhhhhhh thats strange......... my one is not connected to the bottom............ will it affect mileage or performance or anything?????
  24. thanks mate, today i touched my carb.......... the prob was the secondary didn't open so the car doesn't accelerate on load (4 passengers). prob was with the A/C diaphragm..... somehow it was blocking the movement of the linkage...... so i adjust it and now it moves easily....... but now the prob is when the secondary opens, it gives black smoke........ looks like the secondary main jet is too large....... need to fix it up with a slightly small one...... ahhhhh what a pain in the ass it was.... lol
  25. does any one know what is this thing(red circle) on 4k carbs???? and the purpose of it?????
