Hey all, Been a little bit since i have posted on here. Been super busy. I found a guy in my area with a 3tc. I am really wanting to swap it into my te31 corolla. My main question is have you guys heard of people running a 3tc 1.8l block with the 1.6l head? Ive looked and havent had much info to be found.

I'm new to corollas. And also part of the question is are there te31s over in aus or NZ if thats the case then it wouldnt be too bad.

I want to convert to rhd because its rare for people to do. Where i live you don't see many corollas like mine let alone any rhd. I understand even if i do the swap its still concidered a USDM model. But i would like to make the car RHD to make it like it would have been if shipped from Japan. I just love RHD cars.

Hey all, I was wondering if the Te-31 is basically the same thing as a ke30. I'm looking to try and do a Right Hand drive conversion to the car. Just trying to source all my parts. If anyone knows of any lying around or knows someone with some please get me their info i would love to make this happen. Was not sure if i need parts from a ke30 or what. Any help would be awesome. Brian

just may have to do this if the mr2 stuff starts getting to complicated.

sorry late reply on this one. I read that post from that thread that you posted on here. It looks like hes saying hes going to use the mr2 REAR struts for his fronts his posts are kinda confusings. Ive order my coilovers and the MR2 shocks but i ordered fronts. Hopefully they will work. When i get them in a few days looks like I'm gong to rip one corner apart and see how much shorter they are hopefully it works. If i actually need the MR2 Rear shocks looks like ill just return to summit and replace. Thanks Brian

Lol yeah that one is one of the faves ive ever taken. Yeah the lolvo was awesome turned and well really just broke necks everywhere i went haha. Actually suprising....From the outside of dudes car you couldnt really tell it had been hit that hard. but when you got up close to inspec. Me hitting his driver side. Set off his passenger air bag not driver. Broke both A pillars in half. Shoved his frame into the engine lol. broke his wheels. A whole lot more fun stuff happend to his car and it looked like it was barely hit haha

I was thinking about going super sleeper and do a 3tc and build it. Umm I'm not sure what my rear ratio is. I know it has the 5 spd but its pry dif because its not a coupe like yours. I don't have a pic of it but I can taake one.

Thanks man. Yes a lot of plans for this car. I really want to pull the engine and clean the bay and do a wire tuck and shaved bay. But I also want to do a swapp. But a swap won't be for a while because its the only car right now. Need somthing to daily before this becomes the project.

I wanted to show in here my 2 most recent cars that i let go. I miss them on insane levels. My Audi and Volvo. Sold the Audi. But in December I was on the way home from doing a charity drive. Toys for Tots. When getting ready to get on the freeway going about 40mph 3 Infiniti g35s pulled out infront of me. They barely made it and waived their friend though which was a g35 full skyline swap. He pulled out infront of me with about 15 feet of room. Needless to say his car and mine were both done that day. Audi ------- 2008 A4 S-line 6spd manual apr tune test pipe exhaust air lift xl air ride assortment of wheels Volvo --------- 1987 245 Wagon 5spd manual no exhaust no suspension (straight bumpstops pretty much cut those out as well) turbo wheels sticker bombed

Hey all, Ive had a few posts on here. Just wanted to post up some more pics of some slight modifications ive done to make the corolla more pleasing to my eyes. I went to the local lowes home improvement store and picked up well bought them out of their Plasti-Dip. Not sure if you guys have seen or heard of this stuff not many people have. But it does wonders depending on how you get it. I purchased it in the rattle cans. Goes on like spray paint peels off like tape. Hardly any masking is actually needed i love it. More pics will be posted as I update. mods to come soon coilovers. exhaust. wheels wheel spacers fender flares (if i can find the right ones was hopeing to find someone who knows good ones that fit) front air dam (same as above) camper plates. I mainly did the black plasti dip because I'm not a huge fan of chrome. I like it in small amounts. So i basically just did alot of blacking out but left some accents here and there. Hope you like. Did around the rear window and as well as the license plate lights and the chrome trim around the tail lights. Blacked out the grill to make it look new. Did the hood and surrounding chrome black. And left the headlight bezzles. Looks awesome. Did the wheels in black leaving the center caps and lugs chrome. And sprayed the door handles. and side trim. Heres a before pic. Looks good man! I'm working on fixing some kinks in mine as well. When I idle it is a little goofy. And i have what I'm pretty sure is a starter issue. Ive done some reading on needed a switch that you can buy but I'm not 100% sure. And if i turn the car off. Even if it sits for 5 mins. It acts like it needs to re-idle. But nice find man! I want to find another car and garage my corolla as i just got it from a little old lady as well.

Yeah ive looked into it since people on here have helped me out with it. Lol thats what I'm not 100% sure on. I was told 4" blocks was the most you can go without changing anything. Again only what ive been told and read. Ill pry start smaller and go from there. I'm super excited to get it lower. can't stand a lifted car lol. This i think is the only car ive had stock ride height for this long. Ive done coilovers....air ride...cup kits...no suspension. This one luckily for its sake i am going to do right and do coils/blocks. can't wait!

Awesome, Yeah i was super surprised it was actually that blue when i went to check it out. I am planning on picking up some mk1 (i think) mr2 struts for the front and then getting coilover sleeve welded on so i can have short stroke and get even lower up front. And 4" lowering blocks in the rear. Super excited to do it. Only lame thing is ive tried to join some of the us sites and for some reason i never get the confirmation confirmed by an admin. Lame sauce.

Oh i know i can change it out to full Ae86 Suspension. I'm just wondering if i can use after market ae86 struts to go into my stock 78 corolla strut tube. and as far as the MR2 stuff. I'm sorry if I'm being confusing or confused. Your saying i can take stock mr2 shocks (strut) and they will slip into my stock corolla stut tube that holds the stock strut/shock

Hey all, Was wondering what struts would be useable on a TE-31. I was told to use coilover kits for a TE-37. But I'm looking for short stroke struts to put inside the stock tube that I'm going to be trimming down. Can i use shocks from a AE86? My search efforts have yeilded no much for the 37 on short strokes. Saw a video of a guy making his own coilovers for is 86 and the struts had just a flat bottom was wondering if that would work because its going into a tube? Any thoughts....hope i was not confuseing Thanks Brian

I just picked up a 2-tc Te31 Love the car. Doing minor exterior mods as of right now blacking out alot of the chrome. Never been much of a chrome guy. So far it looks like a whole diff car. I love it.

Sounds like an awesome build sir! can't wait to see the start and of course a finished product whenever that may be. Near or far. excited for this one!!

lol thats funny. I'm far used to that type of suspension. I had a 87 and 84 volvo 240 87 a wagon 84 sedan. Both riding only on bump stops. Reason behind. I refuse to pay 2k for coilovers. so i said fudge it and cut them off on the car lol.
