  1. A bit out of the loop here....what front spoiler is that? Any link to afore mentioned Mr Plough thread? Rory :y:
  2. Out of interest, I wonder if there'd be any money in exporting old school Jap rides back to Japan?
  3. Hmm...have to agree with rollacdmd. Not getting much for 11k that you couldn't get here for $500... Isn't exactly collectors spec either in that color and without original wheels. What may cost much in Japan doesn't necessarily mean will be worth here. The lack of cars of this age over there naturally means the price will be higher due to the rarity factor. Ke30's are dime a dozen here even if it's got a 2t... Here's a Gemini for $12,200. Case in point. R:)
  4. Rad! I reckon the first ones would have more of an old school flavor but either will look sweet! Can I ask where you're sourcing them? Rory :jamie:
  5. Those Challengers look tough... any idea what size and offset they are? R:)
  6. That orange one does look pretty schmick...not sure about the rims tho. Not a huge fan of new school rims on old school cars, especially in huge sizes. Looks a bit out of place IMO... R:)
  7. Looks similar to a Datsun 240k (Skyline)....can look tough as nails with flares and some deep dishies....
  8. Mmmm...good points. Have to sit down and work out what I'm wanting to do here I guess. Know a bloke who's got a 1"3/4' SU for sale. Might start there. Know it's not in the ghetto theme but was going to get it rebuilt. Perhaps I'll talk to the dudes at the carbie place about running boost thru it... Cheers again. R:)
  9. Cheers guys... great info once again. So would it be fair to say that using a pressure box would be the fail safe way to go then? Sounds like a fair bit of buggering around involved in converting the standard SU over.... R:)
  10. Ah ok cheers Taz. So am I correct in saying that Boost+k's carby must be a full sealed unit? Would most SU carbs come sealed like that or do you need to rebuild them to suit? Cheers again R:)
  11. Hey Guys.. First up awesome thread. Heaps of info in there...keep up the great work! Thinking of running a turb setup on an AE71 that a mate and I are building for sprints. Quick carbie turb noob question for you. Noticed that on your carbie setup Taz_Rx you used a pressure box but Boost+k didn't. Was this to do with the SU carb he's using? Are they more suited/sealed for turb applications.....? Cheers mate. R:)
