  1. havent been workin on the car much lately because of work and uni but found some time to finishing making my engine mounts. I had to lift the front of the motor so that the alternator dosnt hit the sway bar....do u think the motor is on too much of a slant?
  2. here is a good tech article: http://www.members.westnet.com.au/adsport/sc14fit/
  3. yeah this looks very interesting, i would be very interested also!
  4. yeah the toymods guide is here: "Click" as for the back I'm going to leave it standard for now till i get more money to then get a bigger diff.
  5. Thanks mate. All i did was degrease them hit them with a wire brush bit on the drill (worked really well to get the all the crap off), primered them, and used enamel car paint. Also got my hilux 4pots and corona struts today so i will be rebuilding the calipers and making some coilovers!
  6. does look good in the car: Yesterday i fitted my ae82 flywheel and new clutch and the gearbox. Bolted the gearbox in the car and sat the engine on some ae71 mounts, they fit without the rubber mounts, here is how close they come: my dads mate who was going to make the mount is very busy so I'm just going to make them myself. Hopefully they will be done in a couple of weeks.
  7. been bust with the ke20 lately but still have done some work on the ke35, I have changed timing belt, water pump, some seals and cleaned up the motor by painting the block, rocker covers, pulleys, polishing the water pump pulley, fuel rail and CAS. Here are some pics!
  8. Just want to know if all the running gear from a 4door ke30 will fit into a ke35 coupe. Thanks Chris
  9. yeah thats true...ill just put in a ke20 diff again till i get my ke35 on the road then ill start playing around with diffs and other things...so i guess for now no more burn outs! :(
  10. yeah they all sound good...thou I'm worried about the width because the wheels just fit now...so ill have to get them cut down. anyway ill work something out.
  11. hahah yeah thanks! i want to put in a bigger diff thou i want to keep the 110 stud pattern so i can keep the B45's any ideas??
  12. Double post
  13. Also last night i sheared an axel last night! So pulled the diff out today and the axel and center is stuffed: Here is the latest pic of the car waiting for a new diff!
  14. started to clean the car up over the last couple of days here is some progress: Door trims back Before: Bracing for the 6x9's: After: Front: Polished the wheels: Before: After:
  15. Yeah i love the B45's I picked it up for $3500, that's what he was asking and he would budge coz there was so much interest in it. na the MC next to the brake master and booster is the clutch MC. Don't know why he put it on the other side of the brake MC (clearance issues?)...but the pedal box has been modified so the clutch peddle reaches around the other side of the brake pedal.
  16. i didnt have to upgrade...just the old one was stuffed so i found a 323 one at the wreckers that would fit and it was a bonus that it had a bigger bore.
  17. o ok well i didnt know what the one in the car was? But it was a 3/4'' bore and the one i put in is off a mazda 323 13/16'' bore so its a little bigger.
  18. yeah T50 again...ill get more pics and post them up for you soon.
  19. find me a tail shaft then!
  20. yeah the guages have been done badly! anyway swapped out the T50 already however the tail shaft in the old box is jammed in there...tried everything....hitting it with a hammer, slide hammer and even a hydraulic ram!! still wont budge! A pic of the new box in with the 2.5 inch zorst and the custom gearbox mount:
  21. Its just a home job and don't look too good but it works well. the car goes great!
  22. yeah thanks guys...needs alot of work to get it looking good the outside is fairly bad too has a big dent in the drivers side rear quater...eventually i want to get it painted white when i find a pannel beater. I already done the MC mod, got a 83 mazda 323 MC its a 13/16" which is bigger than the one on it before....it bolts stright up and the lines just need a bit of bending. ke20 MC V's 323 MC: only real mod was to extend the bosster push rod by 7mm: and its in!
  23. New info here: Click!
  24. I bought this ke20 off ebay, most of you have seen it already. Its mods are: Bigport 4age T50 Locked ke20 diff Haltech Computer Accord seats 16 inch Simmons B45 wheels (8 inch front and 9 inch rear!) Ta22 struts, brakes and LCA Autometer gauges Ford TB and custom intake Basically I'm going to use this car as a daily till i get my ke35 on the road then we will see what happens. It has some problems: brake Master cylinder is stuffed and too small for the ta22 calipers T50 is hard to down shift into 2nd and 3rd gears. Wires need a tidy up and same with the interior. Other than that I'm very happy with it. Here are some shots: (these just off ebay will get some good outside ones soon) Just done a brake MC upgrade will post up soon!
  25. yeah thanks. those wheels do look good ill check it out!
