  1. OK now it's official......you have 'all' the gear! Great job, loving the updates and learning from you all the time. bret
  2. Karl, That car is a thing of beauty. Some really neat work done under the bonnet. Will be watching for updates once you have tis driving on the road. It's going to be quick.

That has come together really well. Glad to hear you scared yourself on it too. Good work!
  4. Well trash the car but not the engine. 18RGU is highly sought after engine so I would be looking after that.

OK here are some pics of the death trap I built for my boys. 2 x 20" bmx donor bikes and some bits of timber. This thing was way fast and dangerous as hell. Parenting at it's best. Simple linked pivot steering and 1 brake which could not stop the thing. Great memories.
  6. I agree with Altezza. Also I rate a big 20mm rear sway bar as an easy massive improvement. It all depends how skilful you are, very few people have the skills to modify a car like for instance the 'Streetfast Rally KE30 2 door' build thread on here.
  7. 2" lowering blocks all fitted up in the rear. Really happy with how the back sits now. Front is next but only going 30mm on the front, I like the look and handling of the front sitting a touch higher than the back.
  8. I replaced the original steering wheel with a KE35 wheel, very nice! My 2" inch lowering blocks arrived today from Dellow Conversions, will fit them on Saturday and post some before and after pics. I hope these updates aren't boring people too much but I'm using this forum as a build diary for me to look back on also when its all done.
  9. Thanks for all the good advice guys. So I trusted you all and bought a KE35 steering wheel for my KE30, it bolted straight on and is a sweet looking genuine Toyota upgrade. Best $30 I have spent in a while
  10. Today's additions. Rear window louver and centre console. Still trying to find a good bonnet, never see any for sale....patience...
  11. Mate looks like you have a bit ahead of you with this project. I guess if you want one piece of advice my 20c worth is this, plan it very carefully before you start, do loads of detailed research and then try to only do things once. Don't go buying wheels before you work out what you are doing with the suspension/diff/brakes etc. Look forward to following progress.
  12. Hi all, I had a good look through the tech questions but couldn't find a specific answer to my question. Basically I have a KE30 with the standard steering wheel which I don't like and I don't want an after market wheel particularly so does a KE35 3 spoke wheel fit the KE30? Will it bolt straight on and the indicator cancelers still work? Anyone who knows a lot about what wheels are interchangeable please share.
  13. Detailed the interior for something to do. It is clean. Just one small dash crack lets it down.
